Enjoyed in a shaker pint at Boulders on Broadway.
Rust-colored and cloudy, with only shadows visible through the glass. The head is about a finger’s worth of silky bubbles that fizzle away quickly, clumping together where beer meets glass.
Very sweet biscuits, cotton candy, caramel. A nice smackling of fruity apricot hops.
Toastier here. Sweet biscuits, burnt sugar. Soft bit of apricots and orange peel, white raisins, caramel. Mild bitterness and lingering slightly acrid toast.
Carbonation massages the tongue softly amid the rather big and pillowy medium body. Finishes clean and slightly dry.
Better than expected. Nicely malty, sweet and flavorful. And I’m saving the environment! Or maybe it’s good for me? Whatever. It’s tasty.
Serving type: on-tap
