A- Pours amber, maybe kind of orange with half a finger of puffy white, large bubbled head.
S- Aroma of caramel, thick dried up hunks of pine sap, maple syrup. A bit candyish. A pretty powerful smell for what I'm expecting out of this beer.
T- The taste has less candy taste, and more earthy, woody, bitter hops. The taste reminds me of a dank log cabin in the pine woods- a great expression of the "ode to mother earth" described on the bottle. I wish a bit for more of the caramel that was in the nose, but besides that the beer's flavorful and nice drinking.
M- Fairly bitter- lending to the red ale side of the catagory.
O- More powerful in the smell and taste than I expected. A nice beer that I could have a couple of without tiring of the simple flavors.
