Into an imperial pint, pours a clear copper amber color, a nice inch of whitish head, frothy and foamy, that sticks around for a few sips, leaving lacing in rings and spots down the glass. The aroma isn't all that immense, but its

I can describe the taste and mouth in two words: smooth, and luscious. The hop and malt bill seem very well balanced, and well integrated, oodles of flavor but never overbearing. The session man's DIPA? If that seems like an insult, it isn't. It is remarkably easy to drink, malts sweet and covered in caramel, juicy grapefruits and hop oils all rolling together. It warms, but the higher alcohol does not sting or burn. It coats the mouth, oozes into every awaiting cranny, very smooth and velvety. In sum, its lovely.

from the freshness dated bomber "best by 07/14"
Into a Sam Smiths perfect pint glass results in a slightly hazy golden body capped by a 1" head that has longevity and leaves delicate lacing and rings of foam as the level drops, nice!
Aroma is not subdued or powerful, kind of in the middle, I get weed, fresh cut grass, grapefruit rind, pine sap, very appealing.
Taste starts with some tropical fruit but quickly morphs into typical hop bitterness, there is a fine cracker bread sweetness that attempts a show, but it ends with bitter hops and a hint of blood orange.
Carbonation is subdued, slightly creamy
Overall this is another stellar brew by a brewery that does it right. Bravo!

A - Pours a hazy amber with a two-finger foamy white head. Light sticky lacing.

S - Light amount of tropical fruits - mango & pineapple.

T - Starts out with tropical fruits and a nice caramel malt sweetness. The finish has an earthy lingering hop bitterness. There is also a light pepper bite in the finish.

M - Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Smooth drinking with a crisp bite.

O - Tasty DIPA. Glad I was able to try this. Recommended.
