Got this one from younger35 for beating his ass in ESPN's The Streak...thanks whore.
22 oz. bomber poured into a nonic. Best by 8/19/09 on the label.
Pours a clear light copper hue with a fluffy two finger off-white head. A good amount of lace holds on to the glass after the head slowly falls. Aroma consists of light gritty citrus, some toasted grains, and sweet malt. Some pine and earth find their way in the nose as well. Taste begins with a fair amount of spicy malts followed by slightly rotten grapefruit and spruce. Midway grainy biscuits with some earthy hops linger on the tongue. Aftertaste is almost tea like with a touch of zesty lemon and caramel malt. Light to medium body with a strong tingle left on the tongue. Medium to high carbonation with this one as well. This IPA has a pretty solid malt backbone, almost English style. Not a huge fan of this one, but like many others, I like my IPA's with sweet citrus and/or floral hop flavors. Even though Dan-O is active in LARPing, at least he sends me beer. Thanks man!

A: deep red hue, slightly red (although this is a dark bar), very thin head
S: fruity and bitter, freshly cut wood (elm?)
T: Immediate bitter bite, nodes of grapefruit, lemon-peel, and woody. The last sips were better than the first (maybe due to warming)
M: Tingly and dry (gingerale mouthfeel without carbonation level) Flavor sticks to the mouth longer than most.
O: Drinkability- decent. It is comparable to Surly furious with water-downed citrus. Head dissolves very quickly. Aftertaste is good at first, but stayed into the next lager. Not bad- would drink again, but not rave worthy.
Serving type: on-tap
