A - Burnt sienna in color with a thick, fluffy, white head.
S - Floral hops dominate the nose with piney, fruity tones.
T - So fresh, so clean, so crisp, but oh so smooth. Fresh hops are what this beer is all about. Tastes like the hops were picked yesterday. Great balance of bitterness. More malt comes out as it warms. Bready, smooth as anything, and again, so damn fresh.
M - Cleanses the palate with each sip. Nothing stays behind except fresh hops. Mouthfeel is absurd.
This is what a Pale Ale should taste like. The essence of the hops and Pale Ale that come from the Pacific Northwest. I could drink this all day. Deschutes never disappoints. I highly recommend seeking this beer out on-tap as opposed to bottle. I've had both and the freshness from a keg is outstanding.

12 oz glass into a pint glass over the weekend. Best by 7/10/14, so a couple days past. Oh well.
Looks good, amber with a yellow tint, 1 inch head somewhere between creamy and foamy (croamy?) Very good lacing. Not a lot of carbonation here.
Not getting anything on the nose. Maybe the old snout is off today.
Taste I'm getting is very subtle across the board. And improves toward the back end of the drink. A malt sweetness, with a faint but obvious hop bite (if that makes any sense) Could be affected by being at the end of its best by date.
Mouth was medium, neither soft or dry
Overall, not my favorite beer from one of the better breweries. But still a decent drink.
