Bottle at share. Caramel aroma, kind of flat pour, copper colored, small ring of bubbly head. Taste continues with the caramel, pit fruit, sweet. Kind of sticky.

Bottle, kindly shared by gunnar, as Deschutes Jubel 2010 Once a Decade Ale. ABV is 10%. Very dark brown colour. Extremely malty intense aroma and flavour, caramel, oak and dark fruits. The flavour is to some extent balanced by moderate hops. Nice aftertaste.

I purposely bought a bunch of these when they came out at John's Market in Portland. I've purposely aged them in a basement that is at perfect temperature year-round and randomly opened them up over the years for special occasions. This is one of my favorites and it only gets better with age. Just opened one and it is delicious! The best thing is, I have a bunch still aging.

I bought this when my son was born in 2010 and decided to drink it when he turned 10. The bottle made it through 3 moves.
I'm not a pro reviewer so I'll keep this short. Very dark and deep deep red color. Very little carbonation. Little to no head. Strong smell of chocolate. First sip also tastes of chocolate, caramel, raisins. Sweet, almost syrupy. To me, the strongest chocolate taste I've ever had in a beer, perfect dessert drink. I'm wondering if there's anyone out there with an unopened bottle now.

Alright, second attempt reviewing this one. First time I had this beer was at the West Coast Barrel Aged Beer Festival on November 13, 2010. I think the next time was at the Old Bridge Pub.
Anyways, pours a brown and dark reddish auburn like color with 1/4" beige head. Aroma is similar to a Belgian strong dark ale, but without as much yeast impact, but otherwise, the toffee, brown sugar, caramel, earth, dark fruit bitterness is there similar to the aforementioned style of beer.
Taste is alright, moderate bitterness, more related to bittering hops than yeast. Little bit of contributory malt cooking/roasting going deep but not porter/stout dark. Also that earthy red malt feel. I would have thought something like this is bourbon barrel aged, but they went with pinot noir barrels, which I guess also contributes to that red malt beer earthiness component. Alcohol is definitely there, plenty perceptible. Keeps up all the dark fruit notes in the properly carbonated mouthfeel. Kind of feels like one of those kitchen sink beers. Not really worth the cost of admission when it came out, would rather have a 6 pack of Mirror Pond or Black Butte.

Served from 22oz bottle
A — Pours a deep ruby amber hue, there is a puffy cream colored head on it, spotty lacing left behind.
S — Smells of rich and sugary dark fruits, plums, figs, dates, raisins, sugary sweet malts.
T — Exceedingly sweet and rich, lots of dark fruits and candy sugar. Bitter sweet coffee, but just a lot of sweet dark fruits.
M — Full bodied, long finish, lingering.
O — OK overall, may be a bit past its prime in 2015, but just came across as super sweet to me.

I bought this beer in Las Vegas back in 2010...have sat on it till today. Been hitting my cellar since I drain poured by 2010 Dark Lord last year and decided not to keep beers so long.
This pours very murky and very dark ruby I poured it fairly aggressively so I had a good head and some decent lacing. Smells and taste of raisins and prunes...very sweet. To me the aftertaste is all raisin every sip. Since I only got one bottle of this nothing to compare it to...
