22oz bottle, poured into a pint glass.
A- Dark, opaque brown color. The 1-finger head is tan in color, fades to a film and leaves a little bit of lace.
S- Coffee, roasted malts, a bit of chocolate, and some piney hops.
T- Ok, the piney hops are there, but it's mostly coffee and chocolate.
M- Solid body and feel, flavors linger. Good carbonation.
O- I don't see this beer as an IPA. The 70 ibus are lost in there. The chocolate and coffee win the flavor race and will not give up. It is not bad, but when I drank this, I'd had enough.

A: Black with a creamy lightish brown head.
S: Lots of floral and citric hops in the nose, and maybe just a touch of roasted malt, coffee, and dark chocolate.
T: Tons of pine and floral hops, yet not overly bitter, some citrus, some coffee and roasted malt. Hop heavy.
M: Smooth and full bodied, a bit creamy.
O: A great example of the style, and one of my favorites from Deschutes.
Serving type: on-tap
