This pours a cardboard-straw color with tight bubbles.
There’s a light aroma on it, very muted from the tap. (Does nitro have this effect on beers? I’ve noticed it before.)
The flavor is creamy and smooth, with a mellowish hop profile. Nitro makes for an interesting drinking experience to be sure.

Best by 6/24/14.
Pours a murky dark orange with a foamy tan head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, citrus fruit, and candied citrus zest aromas. Taste is much the same with citrus fruit and citrus zest flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with a nice citrus forward hop presence that still tastes fairly fresh almost a month after the best by date.

I bought a bottle of Armory XPA in a grocery store. Poured in to a pint glass.
Pours a shiny deep gold/copper color with a creamy white head. The beer is crystal clear with many bubbles rising in the glass.
Smell is sweet and candy-like, caramel and toffee notes.
The taste is also sweet and sour at the same tome. Caramel and orange juice, but better than it sounds.
Mouthfeel is light, crisp and clean for all the sweetness.
Overall a decent pale ale. In the deschutes family probably better than the Mirror Pond but not as good as the Red Chair.
