I bought a bottle of Armory XPA in a grocery store. Poured in to a pint glass.

Pours a shiny deep gold/copper color with a creamy white head. The beer is crystal clear with many bubbles rising in the glass.

Smell is sweet and candy-like, caramel and toffee notes.

The taste is also sweet and sour at the same tome. Caramel and orange juice, but better than it sounds.

Mouthfeel is light, crisp and clean for all the sweetness.

Overall a decent pale ale. In the deschutes family probably better than the Mirror Pond but not as good as the Red Chair.

22 oz bomber poured into a Barrelhouse pint glass
Pours a beautiful amber/copper with a nice amount of light pillowy tan head that laces nicely.
First thing I notice in the smell is a light malt sweetness followed by floral hops and citrusy goodness.
Tasty! Citrus and floral backed with just enough malt sweetness. I could swear I'm also getting a little berry in there too. Nice resin and lemon bitterness that hangs around.
Very nice mouthfeel, lightly carbonated, a little juicy, a little creamy.
Really hits the spot on a warm summer day.

Poured from 22oz bomber into a clear plastic cup.

Appearance: medium orange hue with a light-to-moderate haze and a pretty strong effervescence. Head is a finger of frothy ivory foam which leaves a nice lace as it dissipates. An attractive pale ale!

Smell: lightly sweet malt with a lot of lemony hop character and a light soapy floral character. The hops seem very fresh, and the beer has an almost wet-hopped character. Good, but it lacks much complexity and has a little bit reminiscent of a cleaning product with its lemony floralness.

Taste: a bit deeper and richer than the aroma. There's a good malt character here, with just a little toastiness and some caramel. The hops are still lemony and floral, but there's more balance and depth of character. Bitterness is relatively low.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and a moderate creaminess. Not too bad.

Overall: this beer has a refreshment appeal beyond some of its other characteristics because of the lemony tang of the hops. A decent pale ale.

22oz bottle at 41 F poured into a large snifter. If there's a bottle code or date, I don't see it. Significant amount of the beer (and sediment) left in the bottle due to the size of the snifter.

Pours a slightly ruby shade of amber with a smallish head that happens to last and last. Fair amount of fine carbonation, slightly hazy. Smell is quite nice, fresh and grassy, slightly floral, some citrus and pine.

Taste is nice. More citrus, sweetly floral, surprisingly juicy, some pine, soft bitter finish.

Mouthfeel is somewhere between lush and chewy. Whatever that means. Sorry I don't have a comprehensible way to describe it. Overall, I'm pleasantly surprised with this beer, I think it's pretty good.
