Notes/Commercial Description:
This mouthwateringly delicious IPA gets its flavor from a heavy helping of Citra and Mosaic hops. Don't worry, no fruit was harmed in the making of this beer.

L: Bright, clear amber with a nice foamy head on top. Very clear and almost no visible carbonation streaming up. Good lacing as well.

A: Nice blueberry, peach, and fruity hop notes. The classic deschutes biscuit character is there as well, with some caramel sweetness for added complexity.

T/M: Similar to the aroma, big peachy and fruity hop notes. Smooth bitterness that peaks in the middle and fades into bisciut, caramel maltiness. Not overly sweet, but still with a very broad and smooth mouthfeel.

Overall, an awesome IPA, a must have if you are looking for a very unique, fruity hop character. But be prepared for balance, this is not a bone-dry hop-bomb, it has an english-like character from the malt and yeast that is reinforced with lots of hoppiness. I am so glad this thing is now in six-packs year-round, awesome ale.

Had this on 2014-04-19 in Lancaster, PA at The Fridge

A - Pretty clear golden orange with 1-finger head and good lace.

S - Sweet orange flesh, melon, mint, hop floral

T - Juicy ripe pineapple and red navel orange flesh, mint tea, very light bread and caramel, spice, moderately bitter. Somewhat like a hoppy amber. Aftertaste is like a orange and mint lifesaver. The candy sweetness and balancing bitterness is really well done. Complex flavors but oh-so balanced and drinkable. Yum.

M - Medium body and carbonation. More substantial than expected. Resinous. Not too prickly.

O - Really enjoyable brew. Satisfying balance. Not dank. Somewhat like a Nugget Nectar.

From the recently released six packs.

Produces a finger-thick, frothy head. Persists well. Amber colored liquid with slight haziness. Slight carbonation is evident.

A dank, resinous hop aroma is present even as the bottle is poured. Second whiffs detect citrusy orange. There is a heavy malt presence in there as well.

Citrus is much more apparent on the tongue. It is very suggestive of orange juice, but with some resinous hops mixed in. Imagine orange juice meeting a Randal with hops. Grapefruit peel hits the tongue and lingers. Bready and sweet malts mellow thing out and bring some balance to the brew.

Sweet and then tangy. Long, dry, bitter finish.

Like I said before, OJ meets beer here, but this is better than when you were in college and might have mixed the two. Way better.

This is one good American IPA. A lot of the IPAs now hit you with an over the top ABV and it takes away from the front end hop taste and replaces it with a boozy taste.
This one is near perfect. Definitely in my top 5 for IPAs. Good balance of hops and just the right ABV in my opinion.

Only thing that detracts from this beer to make it perfect is little to no head other then that it is hard to find faults.

Pours a beautiful golden dark red liquid. Not much head, found it difficult to get much head retention either. Nevertheless, it smells fantastic, like: peaches, sweet melon, and fresh oranges. The mosaic hops are really what makes these flavors pop too. The mouth is much the same but muted a bit compared to the nose. Then comes a malt kick near the finish which to me tasted like graham crackers. Slightly out of place malt flavoring but after a few more tastes the flavors start to meld better together. Mouthfeel is nice and pleasant a little on the light side but very drinkable.

Pretty damn good IPA that isn't overwhelming, but has tons of flavor going on for the people.
