22oz bottle poured into goblet. Best by date of 11/23/13
A-The body is dark amber in color with a red tint. Head was thin and dissipated quickly. Leaves decent spotted lacing on rim of glass.
S-This beer definitely showcases the new hops that are citra and mosaic. A heavy nose in citrus, tropical fruit, mango, some pine and blueberry in the finish. Gives off hop resins as if it was dry hopped a considerable amount with these hops. All around beautiful.
T-A clean yeast taste allows the hops to shine with the crystal (maybe vienna) malts giving a very enjoyable balance. The nose was all hops but the taste allows the malt flavors to come through. Has nice caramel/bread crust notes blended nicely with the tropical fruit, citrus, mango, peach, berry flavors from the hops. Finishes on the bitter side but does not linger to long. Extremely refreshing finish.
M-Medium body. Effervescent on the tongue. Sweet finish.
O-Happy I picked up a 22oz'er of this. Will be back for another one. If you see this you will not be disappointed. In the crowded IPA field this one for me ranks as an all around delicious, quenching, highly drinkable beer that I will go back too again and again. Cannot imagine it on tap. HOLY SHIT.
