This mouthwateringly delicious IPA gets its flavor from a heavy helping of Citra and Mosaic hops. Don't worry, no fruit was harmed in the making of this beer.

Pours golden orange. Smells of citrus, hops, and pine. Tastes as it smells, the hops aren't overpowering and it has a great balance. Overall very good IPA.

Amber body with good carbonation, white head and a ring of lace. Aromas of citrus and a hint of pine. Lots of juicy grapefruit on the palate with orange rind and, again, a hint of pine. Solid bitterness. Light malt throughout, which adds good balance to the whole production. Coarsely carbonated, possibly too much.
As delicious as the name sounds. This is a citrus fruit-forward beer that adds a showing of pine and malt balance to make a well composed but hop-dominated IPA.

A: Crystal clear amber color with tons of little yeast chunks floating around, which really detracts from the beer. I'm going to drink the other 5 from the bottle so I don't see it.

S: Smells like a fruity pale ale. Aroma is a little weak too.

T: Tastes pretty good. First thought to me is it tastes just like my rye pale india lager made with citra and simcoe except with more yeast character. Mine is better though.

M: Under carbonated, although what is there is silky smooth. Love-hate relationship with creamy texture from bottle conditioned beers and their unsightliness. The finish is a little syrupy too. I'd guess it's about 1.020.

O: It's good. I like my IPAs a little more carbonated and a little more attenuated so it's not a huge winner for me. I'd drink it again but probably wouldn't seek it out in a sea of other IPA options.

Pours a reddish amber into my Shorts pint glass. Aggressive pour yields 1 1/2 finger head with lacing that really coats the glass. Citra and Mosaic hops really come through on this. There's a balanced, yeasty, nuttiness that covers up some of the promised juicy, floral notes. Slight piney, bitterness lingers on the tongue. I keep waiting for the fresh squeezed juiciness promised by the name. I am underwhelmed. Maybe I'm spoiled, after finishing off 2 four packs of Todd the Axeman last week. This is a good IPA, and I'm glad I snagged 2 bottles, but I wouldn't call it great.

just slightly above okay for me yes it's easy to drink and yes it has a nice aroma but is that enough to give it a four? not for me, a four for me means i will be buying it again. even though it has its some charm it's not enough to lure me in again. Why? i don't know but i think that i am starting to think that i am just not a fan of fruity beer and this has a significant amount of fruit, so much so that it can taste like grapefruit juice at times. if i want to drink something fruity i rather drink mango juice and throw some rum in it. the .25 was for easy drinking and good aroma traits.

Pours dark brown orange with rootbeer style head. Carbonation bulbs rising none stop from bottom. Thick foamy lacing covers the glass with every sip. Smell of hops and citrus along with pine. Very light tasting Ipa hoppy and piny.. this would be a good daily drinker in my eyes.

The aroma of this beer was the best thing about this beer. It had a very floral and leafy aroma to it which appeals to me and that surprises me a bit considering the dark bronze color it had. It pours with a 1.5 finger head with moderate tail retention. The taste is pretty consistent with the aroma. It did have a bit of a watery feel to it but I can't complain this is beer I think I will drink on a regular basis

This is a beautiful looking beer, with a terrific smell. You can really pick up on the hops and citrus. I got a small keg of this and enjoyed it for a month out of my kegerator. My wife, not a fan of most IPA's, even enjoyed it. The citrus cuts down on the bitterness quite a bit, but it isn't overpowering and the hops still stand out.

Better to tap than in a bottle. Lots of citrusy hops. I love how thick the head is, my glass always has those "drink lines" that I love to see out of an IPA. Solid choice, especially in the summer.

Served on draught in a standard pint glass at my local pub. Pours a gorgeous amber with thin, frothy head, moderate lacing. A soft, gentle fruity aroma and smooth taste. Not overpowering. Overall, a very solid west coast IPA.

12oz bottle with a Best By date of 12/24/15. Pours a clear copper color with a half inch of head. Tons of lacing. The aroma is fruity and sweet. Citrus and grapefruit along with some tropical fruits. Almost like fruity candy. A touch of floral hops also. The taste is a nice bitter and sweet mix of tropical and citrus fruits. Slight dank note to it. Grapefruit and peach finish with some of the bready malts coming out. Light, oily mouthfeel. Very drinkable. Overall, worth seeking out.

Poured deep orange and mildly opaque. Smells fresh and tastes fresher. Don't know how they do it, but it's the IPA equivalent of fresh squeezed orange juice. Just delicious!

Poured cold into a tulip glass. Best by 6/10/15 (I think that means it was bottled on 2/10), consumed on 3/22/15.
Look = 4.75 Pours a clear deep gold/amber color with red highlights and 3 fingers of frothy off white head. Great retention and lace on this one, great color and look.
Aroma = 4.5 Juicy and fruity; tropical fruits everywhere, mango. Strong aroma and very good.
Taste = 4.5 Hops dominate; follows the nose with fruity flavors of tropical fruit and citrus; Light to moderate bitterness on the finish.
Feel = 3.75 Smooth mouthfeel, medium bodied with low carbonation feels a bit flat. Not syrupy at all but smooth.
Drinkability = 4.5 Super drinkable, hoppy fruity IPA.
Overall = 4.425 Huge score here. Just really solid in all categories, very few drawbacks.

I thought this was quite good. Nicely balanced, well hopped but not overpoweringly so. I much preferred this to their Mirror Pond Pale Ale. A beer I would buy again.

Pours darker than expected, amber brown. A full inch plus of head with a slightly aggressive pour. Ring around glass and a healthy amount of lacing.

Smell with head present is fantastic. Wet hop, citrus and just a hint on sweetness carry over into the taste. Delicately bitter with a slight sweetness from the malt with earthy, hoppy goodness taking center stage. Juicy is a great way to describe this one.

Mouth feel is a little light but overall very nice. Finishes nice and clean with moderate carbonation.

Overall, glad I picked this one up. I can see this becoming a staple.

Beautiful copper color, persistent white head. Citrus hops prevail on nose and palate, with strong orange notes, very nicely balanced and smooth. An exceptional example of the style.

Poured into a Surly tulip. Beautiful legs and lacing, with a quarter inch of head that refuses to recede. Smells of pine but also fruit/berries and a bit of honey. Taste is a combo of the smells. Perfect carbonation level and overall, the best bottled IPA I've ever had. Insanely refreshing on a hot summer day :) It's on sale for $8 a 6er, so I will have to stock up!

This is really juicy IPA!

Tastes of grapefruit and peach! So juicy and Hoppy. Tastes bigger than the ABV.

Color is a little caramel for my tastes, and a little overcarbonated, but the flavor is perfect.

What you would expect from Deschutes - a really great beer. Pours amber out of the bottle with a light piney aroma and a moderate head that lingers. It presents such a balanced flavor profile that the malt tastes like vanilla when juxtaposed with the tropical fruit flavors - mango, pineapple, papaya and grapefruit. Finishes bright and crisp without any sticky aftertaste or coating of resin on your palette. Just a great beer from a brewery that's on top of its game.

Bottle: Poured a clear orangey color ale with nice large foamy head with excellent retention and some good lacing. Aroma of fresh floral hops notes with clear citrus and light tropical notes identifiable. Taste is a nice mxi of clear floral hops with some citrus and tropical fruits notes. Bitterness level is quite low. Body is about average with good carbonation. Nice used of hops flavours while containing the bitterness level.

World Class indeed. Deschutes nailed it. I've heard a lot about this beer and was reluctant to give in to the hype, but it's a different take on your typical IPA. The look is almost ruby red that is accompanied by a fruity (almost cherry) aroma. The taste does not have an over bearing hop presence, but one that sits well with it's malt bill. The fruity aromatic notes transitions well into the first sip. The finishing taste is not dry like a lot of other IPAs, but almost quenching. The overall drinkability of this beer is superb. A non-beer drinker and a connoisseur would appreciate the dynamic flavor profile this beer exhibits.

12oz Best by date of 12/12/2015
Poured into a tulip

Look - A dark copper color.
Smell - Juicy, tropical, mangos, pineapple, underlining dankness
Taste - Follows the nose. Super tropical and dank. Mangos, grapefruit, grapefruit pith, some pineapple. Some bitterness on the back end but nothing crazy or astringent.

Overall, this is one of the better IPAs I've tasted. Wonderful smelling and wonderful tasting. Super crushable. A world class beer and one of my personal favorites.
