This mouthwateringly delicious IPA gets its flavor from a heavy helping of Citra and Mosaic hops. Don't worry, no fruit was harmed in the making of this beer.

Enjoyed in a pint glass

A - Copper/bronze in color with a creamy one-finger head. Long lasting lacing.

S - Wow! Beautiful mix of citrus: tropical, mango, pineapple, grapefruit. Touches of toasty malt and floral in the background.

T - Very juicy fruit with just the right amount of malt to keep things from becoming overly sweet. Very faint hops on the finish.

M - Low-medium in body with a fair amount of carbonation. So smooth and balanced. This brew just slides over your tongue so easily. Very refreshing...one sip leads to another etc, etc, etc.

O - I really love this beer. Even with all the fruit notes going on the balance is on point. This beer is just so damn refreshing. Another winner from Deschutes.

Pours out an orange, almost red, body with a thinnish head. Nose is of intense tropical fruit from the hops with a presence of caramel malt body. Hops are fully up front in the flavor, bringing lots of tropical and citrus fruits. Malt body is very much present, giving off loads of caramel malts. Solid bitterness matches the sweetness. Mouthfeel is moderate with a solid carbonation. This is a very solid IPA. Lots of good flavors going on.

Comparing this head-to-head with Firestone Walker Double Jack & Squatters Hop Rising. Of the three, this is the brightest and easiest to quaff. The malt flavor is pretty subdued, especially compared to the Firestone, but the hops are very citrus forward in tasting, but not very obvious in the aroma. There's a hint of flowers or herbs and just slight bitterness in the aftertaste. This bottle was several months old, and I believe it is better consumed fresh.
