Notes/Commercial Description:
This mouthwateringly delicious IPA gets its flavor from a heavy helping of Citra and Mosaic hops. Don't worry, no fruit was harmed in the making of this beer.

Amber primarily, hints of mahogany reddish, satin cream head that likes to lace the glass like Kenny dosing spenny.
The nose is a little underwhelmin, somewhat faint and kind of mealy. Cereal grains and some earthy Hops. Maybe some yeast or something I can't quite put my finger on.
Luckily it more than makes up for it once it hits your tongue. Tropical citrus greets your next step. Concurrently it is profoundly bitter and quite sweet. The finish maintains that dual nature of sweet and bitter. Quite well crafted. Juicy like a Biggie single. So tasty. I feel lucky to have found it on tap here.

From a 650 ml bottle (best by November 23, 2013) into a tulip. Reviewed from notes dated September 12, 2013.

A-An aggressive pour produces about two and one-half fingers of light-tan head. The head has good retention (two minutes at least) and leaves nice lacing on the glass. The beer is orange-hued golden in color and not terribly active in the glass.

S-There is a big punch of tropical fruit here...I mean a huge fruit scent, including grapefruit and tangerine. The beer is more sweet and bready, and less bitter, than just about any other IPA I have tried. Very juicy, but perhaps a bit simplistic.

T-The taste is similar, i.e., vaguely tropical sweetness and loads of juicy citrus (orange, tangerine, grapefruit) flavors. There is a mild floral component and a bready, doughy malt base, but almost no bitterness. Tasty and refreshing.

M-The feel is medium to light and sort-of wet feeling with light carbonation.

O-The beer delivers the citrus promised by the label and title. In fact, this may be the juiciest, fruitiest IPA I have ever had. It is sweet and bready for the style, but drinks pretty easily. While I enjoyed the huge fruit flavors here, it might be a bit simple and sweet if you need a palate crushing IPA or are looking for something to hold up to stronger food flavors.

bomber into a FW tulip. BB 10/8/13 6.0% ABV

Pours a really dark orange, almost red with a nice inch thick head with amazing lacing. Hoppy and malty aroma, both being quite balanced though not too in your face. OOh, the taste is quite nice. Hops at first but you get a big hit of citrus fruit on the back that ends with a tad of bitterness but also fruitiness. Real nice blend of flavors that makes this super easy to drink. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation.

Overall really recommended IPA. Quite flavorful for just a 6% IPA. Lovely.

Amazing beer. Just had it for the first time. Definitely lived up to the hype. It surprised me in all the ways I thought it wouldn't. I briefly thought that I tasted cherry cotton candy or some sort of gum ball flavoring imparted by yeast? not sure. Definitely looking forward to having this one again.

Pours a hazy, honey color with a nice creamy head...beautiful lacing. The initial blast to the olfactory senses make you think you've just sliced into a ripe grapefruit....Just incredible. Taste is a velvety smoothe citrus with slight floral notes.
Another masterpiece from Deschutes
