Notes/Commercial Description:
This mouthwateringly delicious IPA gets its flavor from a heavy helping of Citra and Mosaic hops. Don't worry, no fruit was harmed in the making of this beer.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle in Deschutes Pub Glass. Pours a golden amber with 1/2 inch frothy head. Smells like grapefruit and hops, delicious. Tastes exactly as it smells citrusy grapefruit with a good hop balance. The mouth feel is spot on, and it begs you to keep drinking. I cannot lie, this beer is outstanding in every way. As longs as it if fairly fresh this beer knocks it out of the park every time.

Squeezed into a snifter.

The white head puffs to a half-inch but does not retain very well, dying to a ring, with an island of soapy foam on the cap. The body has a deeper copper-amber hue with semi-transparency.

Aromas strike immediately as strawberry and blueberries, with a buried earthiness. It also has some chives hanging out in there. Stellar nose!

The palate presents flavors that err more on the earthy side. The berries are much more subdued and come across mid-palate with a noticeable bread malt flavor. The finish is a little peppery and sweet with resin and that distinct berry-ness again.

The beer has a lighter-medium body and a nice creamy feel. This is not very drying, but the finish does linger.

The berry scents and flavors balance very well with the herbal-earthy quality that is present. There could be even more dank balance on the nose, and in the flavor profile. This is quite the delightful, sweeter IPA.

A- Pours a deep orange/copper. Entirely transparent, no cloudiness to speak of.
S- Heavy and delightfully appealing citrus hop aroma with a hint of peach
T- Begins with the lightest touch of bitterness before transcending into an amazingly smooth, balanced, and somewhat peachy taste. By no means does the fruity aspect come across as artificial - it's just a terrific application of citra hops.
M- Medium mouthfeel with an appropriate level of carbonation.

O- I've never been (and seemingly never will be) a hophead, but this beer is a refreshing and rare example of how to do a proper IPA with the emphasis on the citrus sans the distracting bitterness.
