Notes/Commercial Description:
This mouthwateringly delicious IPA gets its flavor from a heavy helping of Citra and Mosaic hops. Don't worry, no fruit was harmed in the making of this beer.

22oz bottle into Stone IPA glass at about 45 degrees.

What a pour - this thing pours like a 10% DIPA - thick looking. Fat, sticky head. Tons of lacing. Cloudy, deep amber body. Beautiful, and worth a 5.

Aromas are as advertised... Fresh. Lemon peel, pine, acidity. Sweet, sugary, citrusy.

Smooth as hell. Mad props on the mouthfeel. Quite juicy - the hops really pop. Love the Citra.

This is a killer beer. Tons of flavor, not too much alcohol, and refreshing enough for Summer.

A - Medium clear honey, some near white head and lace.

S - Cat pee, citrus.

T - Hops up front, malt takes a walk, pretty much. Wish there was more malt.

M - Medium body good carb, not balanced, more to the hop side.

D - Nice beer, tasty. Would have scored higher with more malt in the taste.

22oz bottle, Best by 10/8/13, deep reddish-copper colored ale topped with a creamy, frothy, ivory head that holds great retention and leaves some sticky lacing at the top of the glass. Huge, dank hop nose with mango, grapefruit, pine, caramel; super fresh. Tastes are juicy and sweet with caramel, bready malt, mango (-and other tropical notes), more dank, wet hops, grapefruit, not overly bitter on the finish with exceptional balance, maybe a little on the sweeter side. Mouth-feel is oily, resiny, slightly dry, while being medium bodied. I love everything from this brewery; another solid beer from Deschutes!

A: poured into a nonic pint to a nice dark golden hue with a finger of fluffy white head that fades to a small mat
S: smells of citrus, grapefruit, tropical fruit, hint of pine and a bit of caramel. great nose
T: tastes of juicy citrus, tropical fruit, a bit of pine, slight caramel malt flavor to balance but still just a lot of nice citrusy hops. swallow is more citrus, a bit of caramel and some pine
M: lighter side of medium with soft but adequate carbonation and a refreshing finish
O: a great IPA. Not too in your face with the hops and a solid balancing act from the malt. Good flavors in all the right proportions so this is one easy drinking and enjoyable beer. I hope this one comes back around or stays permanently.

Enjoyed out of a brown 22 oz bomber with a "best by" date of 10/08/13. Poured into a 50 cL glass stein mug with a textured outer surface.

Appearance - Body is a deep muddy-orange color with notes of garnet and beams of amber light shining through. Head is about a finger deep and foamy khaki with a smattering of large bubbles throughout. Dissipates after a few minutes, leaving a healthy mottling of foam and moderate lacing.

Smell - A well-blended mix of citrus and some sweeter tropical fruits. A hint of pine resin in the background as well.

Taste - Mango, with some grapefruit and citrus rind bitterness. Balancing hint of maltiness and some spiciness that prevents it from becoming too round.

Mouthfeel - Juicy and on the light side of medium bodied. Light moderate carbonation and a semi-dry finish.

Overall, a fantastically drinkable IPA. The name is well-chosen and one that I will gladly pick up once a year. A full-flavor IPA that is also refreshing.

Pour has the appearance of golden honey with a modest head.

Smells win the show here. High levels of passion fruit and ruby red grapefruit. Actually tickles my nose. Very mild hop though.

Taste is pretty much grapefruit juice and very mild bitterness. Leans toward a sweeter side than most in class. Hey this could be a vitamin C supplement.

Find this refreshing with a medium body.

With all the hype, I was looking forward to crush this. Overall this is really good but just a bit sweet for me. I'm missing some malt and IBU to balance it out. When you have on your label a hop in a vise you'd expect more bitterness-I'm just saying. Price point is outstanding. Worth a try.

Got this one in Vegas

22oz. Bomber
Best By: 10/05/13

Pours a very nice slightly cloudy dark golden orange color, nice carbonation, with a nice one-finger creamy off-white head, and leaves some nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, with a nice malt note, slight citrus and pine note. The taste is a very nice blend of hops and malts, with some citrus/pine notes. Medium body, the finish is slightly dry and bitter. Overall a very nice thirst quencher.

Appearance: Clear amber, big head.

Smell: Citrus rind, pine. Moderate strength.

Taste: Nicely balanced, with a bready malt base trading swings with citrusy hops. Not too sweet but not bitter.

Overall: Picked up a bottle in Illinois to try. Nicely balanced and extremely drinkable. Nice citrus and sweetness without being overbearing. Another great beer from Deschutes!
