Served on tap in a 22 ounce Weizen glass.
Appearance - Rust colored. Slightly hazy. Dense, tan head. Good retention. Great stickage. A fine looking brew!
Smell - Hop forward nose followed, quickly, by a whiff of earthy malt.
Taste - The hops are pronounced but not overpowering. The initial flavor is orange rinds but this is balanced, nicely, by a substantial malt backbone that is both toasty and sweet. Also, I detect a grassy, herbal flavor. Wow!
Mouth- Substantial. Tart and mildly fizzy.
Overall - My fear was that Fresh Squeezed was going to be yet another hop bomb but boy was I wrong. This beer is complex, balanced, and sophisticated. The flavors are prominent yet not overwhelming. Deschutes has, yet again, knocked it out of the park.

Color- cloudy agave. Slight head.
Aroma- like a blend of grapefruit juice and apple pie.
Taste- Starts very mildly citrus with gentle hops, moving sweeter in the mid-body and finishing with definite apple notes with a refreshingly mild hop aftertaste. An excellent and unique IPA from Deschutes. This would interest non-hopheads and newbies to the category.
Poured from 650 ml bomber into a Liefmans Goudenband glass (my preferred all purpose beer tasting glass). Tasted on 11/8/2013.

A - Pours a very nice amber body, very darker than a traditional west coast IPA, pretty dark for an IPA of this content as well; you typically see this body in an Imperial. 1 finger head, dissipates fairly quickly. Little to no lacing.
S - Fresh, wow, you can tell this is fresh! Sweet pear, mango, pineapple, molasses, sugar, apples. Sweetness from the malt coming through, mild bread. A lot going on in this beer.
T - Nothing like the smelle, it tastes like a typical IPA with a bigger malt presence. There's this soapy taste, mild pine, subtle to no sweetness, and finally boozy.
M - Light to Medium body, dry finish.
O - This is the definition of "tease" in the beer world. Looked great, smelled amazing, but when it came down to it, everything in terms of the palate fell short. Very disappointed. I will pass.

Like this one. Had it at Buffalo Wild Wings on tap. Didn't enjoy the sample as it left a bitter and lingering aftertaste....guess it is definitely and IPA. I really enjoyed the citrus aroma and the mild citrus overtones of flavor. Lightly carbonated so it went down smoothly with no burn. I would definitely buy again.
