Notes/Commercial Description:
This mouthwateringly delicious IPA gets its flavor from a heavy helping of Citra and Mosaic hops. Don't worry, no fruit was harmed in the making of this beer.

Pours a clear light amber almost a pink hue to it, finger of off white head, nice lacing

smell is pear, peach, orange, a lot of sweet malt, maybe even a little apple, mango, kiwi. Quite juicy, not the fruit notes I was expecting

taste is pear, kiwi, pineapple, sweet malt definite crystal malts in this one, toffee, earthy rind bitterness, some orange, lemon, a hint of grapefruit bitterness, sour apple notes, a bit of astringent notes

mouthfeel is medium, sharp carbonation but also finishes quite smooth, dry on the end

Great beer, could see this becoming a regular in my fridge. A lot of fruit flavors I do not really get in any other IPAs which is something I find quite cool.

Great balance, one thing about this beer is I would like a little less sweet malt notes, but that is also part of it uniqueness so who knows if I would like it as much if it did have less.

Also the flavor reminds me a lot of there fresh hop APA, very similar malt bills I imagine.

A - Translucent rosy amber in color with less lacing than I expected for this type of IPA. I pictured a hazy orange for this brew.

S - This is where this beer really falls short. Usually when citra hops are a main component, it's a snort fest for me, but the aroma is mild and muted. Perhaps it's the ratio of Citra to Mosaic.

T - You get the a bit too much malty flavor and not enough hopped up grapefruit, pear, and orange notes. I'd also like it to be a bit more dry.

M - This is where this beer really excels. In you mouth it feels well balanced, velvety, and activates your entire palette.

O - To me this beer falls just short of world class in every aspect except mouthfeel. If the Citra notes popped more, the malt was toned down a bit with more of a dry finish, this beer would be the new Zombie Dust...except more affordable, available, and better mouthfeel.

Poured from a bottle into a snifter. Foamy off whit head...sticky, gooey lacing through out entire beer. Golden, amber, honey graces my sight.

Bursting with a rainbow of sweet citrus on the nose.

First sip...medium carbonation, a lovely heavy and creamy mouth feel. A honey kissed stick of juicy fruit wraps around my tongue. Malty caramel play with pears, oranges, plums and grapefruit in the middle. Sweet warm oven fresh baked bread dripping in apple butter, almonds and bitter honey finishes my swallow. The finish is bitter but quick and clean leaving a pleasant sweet aftertaste in my mouth. The flavors beg for another sip...

I really LOVE this beer...one of my favorite IPAs...sweet malts and juicy hops, a perfect balance...it doesn't bang your palate into submission like so many hoppy beers but instead wows you with it's creamy decadent citrus punch...wonderfully sublime.

I had overhyped this in my head. I don't know why I thought this was going to be much better.
First it pours much darker than most IPAs which is fine but there is too much crystal-75 malt in there for me. The aroma is lackluster. Thought it was going to bigger from the reviews I read. Surprised how muted the citra was. The taste is a very drinkable amber ale with juicy fruity hop notes. Sweet line and maybe a tiny bit of tropical fruits are washed away by a toasted sticky sweet caramel background. The mouthfeel is the best part about this beer. It feels good in the mouth and on the tongue. Overall, it was decent at best...super drinkable. Not an in your face west coast style ipa.
