Poured into a shaker pint glass.
Look: Cloudy light yellow wheat colored body, holding a white foamy head that recedes to a white film. Light watery lacing remains.
Aroma: Faint yeast and wheat, soon laced with floral aromas and citrus peels. Hops come alive in the end with a slightly piny note.
Taste: Belgian at first, doughy yeast comes out alongside a bouquet of fruits and citrus. The finish tastes more American with piny and bitter hops.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, dry.
Overall: Clean and flavorful, a good beer for any Spring day.

Well, every rose has its thorn they say… Deschutes is no different and here's the weak (weakest) link I've found in their generally incredible beer assortment. Not bad by any mean but just not as balanced as I'm used to with this brewery. It's not about the bitterness (I am a huge fan of IPAs) neither about the belgian thing (I love belgian triples too) but I feel like drinking two beers in each sip here. They're both good, but they're just not part of the same beer… I guess this is still a very decent score though...

On tap at the Local Taphouse I believe, not sure when. Reviewed from notes.
Pours a pale straw colour with a bit of cloud. Head is white, a thin rim of lace around the edge. Looks alright.
Smells piney, slightly rubbery. Yeah, fair Belgian notes with orange peel, spice and sprucey notes. Nice freshness. Pleasant.
Taste is bit more Belgian I'd say. Fair orange peel with some dry spice notes. White pepper, coriander, some light rubber. Touch of pine resin. Not much IPA but pleasant enough.
A bit of fizz, quite drying on the back. Not bad.
Nice enough drop, could use bigger hop notes.
