After having enjoyed the Collaboration between Deschutes and Boulevard, with this being a close approximation, I'm really looking forward to it.
Hazy blonde, much like a lighter golder version of the Boulevard Wheat we know so well here in K.C. Very little white head.
Lemon, grass, grainy and a near hint of something like turpentine. That makes it uniquely fresh, but also a bit off-putting. To me, it's an odd mix.
Similar to the nose as noted above, coming across with more grain though. I pick up very little of the nice sage notes I got from the Collab - that's unfortunate, as they really brought this beer together.
Lighter on the tongue than an IPA - has a Belgian edge to it. Airiness, even. Crisp, dry, closes with a bit of sharpness and a rather booming echo of hops .
A cheaper and more available version of the Collaboration, but not as fulfilling.
