A - For something advertized as an IPA it is ceratainly paler than a typical IPA but not quite as white as a Begian Wit. Overall a very nice light golden color. Ample carbonation with a nice white head you would typically associate with wheat beers.

S - Very Nice citrus smell initially with the a slight sweetness you would expect if wheat was used. Overall pleasant but not as assertive with citrus as other IPAs

T- Really nice combination of IPA bitterness combined with the body of a wheat beer. I loved this combination. I picked up the hoppiness of an IPA - but again less so than other IPAs and the slight sweetness of wheat. Very enjoyable.

F - A little thinner than what I expected but not too thin to not consider it an IPA. I feel this would be equally appropriate with lighter fare (fish) or with heaver foods (steak)

Overall I was pleasantly surprised by this beer and would definitely have it again. I wasn't sure if the combination of wheat and IPA style would work at all but Deschutes has done this nicely. However, for me it seems like a light IPA. Maybe additional malt and hops would make this good beer a great beer.

12 oz bottle pours a hazed lemon color with an ample cap of fine-bubbled white head. Nice retention and lacing.

Nose is a pleasent mix of orange peels and tropical (amarillo?) hops. Definitely some coriander as well. This one seems to use aromas that mix well as opposed to trying to force resinous, piny hops with the phenols of Belgian yeast.

At first impression this one seems to be more wit than IPA, though as it warms there is a fair amount of hop bitterness. There is a little clash between yeat/spices and the hops, but it does not seem to be as distracting as some other Belgo-IPAs I have had. Mouthfeel is a little on the thin side, carbonation is fine-bubbled...sweetness is moderate. Its a fairly decent beer and a little different take on the Begian IPA style, but I wont be rushing out to buy a sixer anytime soon.

A: Pours a hazy light golden color with a fairly small head and bits of lacing.

S: Aroma of mild citrus with fruit, wheat, mild malt sweetness and bit of spice.

T: Taste of fruit, mild malt sweetness, grainy wheat with bit of spice and citrus. Has a mild bitterness and a nice dry finish.

F: Fairly medium body, hops seem restrained, smooth, with a refreshing feel. Nicely balanced.

O: Nice beer that reminds me more of a Belgian Ale that an IPA. Still an enjoyable beer without being overstated.

A: A strong carbonation factor within a pale lemon color that has a small tint of haze. The head is foamy of 2 fingers, and fairly well lasting with a bright white gleen. Random lashes of lace.

S: Pale citrus, wheat, lemon with some breadiness and a slight hint of muskiness.

T: Flavor was pale lemons, bready, some muskiness, hint of spiciness, zesty oranges, and pale stale lemon finish.

M: Good carbonation, bready feel, lighter end of medium feel substance wise.

O: Overall has some yeastiness, spicing is moderate though a bit muted and hardly wow worthy. The hopping is adequate but a bit linear, carbonation could of used some snap. Body is light enough for summer use. End result is somewhere between ok and good. C+.
