Tasted oct. 28th 2011 (from notes)
A - A really pretty light copper, half finger off white and foamy head with no lacing
S - pomegranate, red and white wine, booze, wet oak, awesome yeast, sugary, slight spice and flowers
T - awesome yeast, rye spice, tons of wine Flavors and wine barrel oak, slight wheat, nice slight bitter and sweet after taste, boozey but nice, very fruity, floral, sweet malts, slight hops
M - full bodied, medium acidity, nice complexity, medium balance and long awesome finish
D - huge beer: don't even try if you don't like HUGE! Tons of sweet, nice long finish and just a really enjoyable Belgian style. The eye really mellows it out
Final thought - every reserve deschutes makes is worth a try. 11% and $12 a pop. Get this one and crack her open!
