Poured from a bomber into a goblet.
A: Clear, medium golden color with one finger of white foam head. Heavy lacing remains on the glass.
S: Mild floral hops line up nicely with delicate yeast esters and even more nuanced grain.
T: Begins off-dry, with floral hops aromatics and lively citric acidity. The intensity of early flavors are surprisingly bold, compared to the smell, although the qualities match in a very honest fashion. A refined base-malt graininess emerges during the middle before the noteworthy esters from the smell lace the mildly bitter finish with their chemical-fruity mark.
M: Thin to medium viscosity, slightly syrupy on the palate, with moderate carbonation.
D/O: This relatively modern IPA recipe does a fine job of showcasing its fresh Amarillo cultivar hops addition. Light malts are not absent, though, and the English yeast qualities really round out this approachable ale, making it both classic and contemporary in character.
