Bomber served slightly chilled in a goblet.
Pours a very dark brown with good clarity. The head is thin and creamy but short-lived. It leaves no lacing behind.
Aroma is really pleasant with elements of vanilla, chocolate, and dark roasted malts.
Flavor is quite special too with notes of anise, cherries, and the vanilla and chocolate I noticed in the nose.
Mouthfeel is full bodied and creamy with a nice low level of carbonation.
Overall a very good anniversary beer from Deschutes. I'll have to pick up a couple more and see how they do after a year in the cellar.
