A: Mostly black with just a bit of dark brown. Thin light khaki head that dies off fairly quick. Spotty lacing.
S: Lots of dark malts and dark chocolate. Some dark fruit sweetness. The figs, dates and dark coco nibs really shine through.
T: Again, the dates, figs and dark coco nibs really come through nicely. The sweetness of the figs and dates plays really well with the roasted malt and dark chocolate. Not overly sweet at all, but it is fairly fruity in a good way. Some mild hops near the back end.
M: Just on the fuller side. Average carbonation. Feels pretty creamy.
O: Awesome drinkability. 11% is very well hidden... Wow, tastes like it's 7.5%. Another great Black Butte Porter Anniversary beer from Deschutes
