Poured into a clean tulip
Appearance: very dark brown, two fingers of head, thick.
Smell: faint smell of smoked malt, caramel no discernible hops.
Taste: dark roasted malt but not burnt and not too sweet.
Mouth feel: very smooth and light for a porter and a smoked beer.
Overall: very true to a traditional porter with a slight smokey flavor. Personally I would have liked more of that smoked flavor but it was better than having it too smokey like I have with others.
Serving type: bottle
