I see the high marks so many must be neighborhood people who frequent quite a bit and know the people who work here. Upon my 3rd visit and a few purchases each time, I guess I'm still a stranger, but that's okay. I drive a decent way to see places and check out selections, so I would at least expect a little friendliness.

Selection for the unknowns is what is on the floor. Some on shelves, many open cases or coolers. I didn't see anything here I couldn't get elsewhere, but they Twitter feed some specials, but I found they are not for everyone, only their regulars.

I asked why I would have a reason to come back if they wouldn't sell me what I came for, and was told they try to keep their regular visitors first. I didn't see a crowd (I was the only one inside or in the parking lot) and was there for at least 45 minutes looking around.

I understand the regulars but if the beer was released 4-5 days prior, aren't paying customers wanted first? I can understand holding special releases for a day or 2 after receiving them, but after 5 days? I'll be back once more to see if anything changes, but I can go elsewhere, just hope they learn.

No taps at this time, but was told anywhere from April to November of 2014.

Great shop. I buy probably 80-85% of my beer here. With the addition of taps soon, it will be even better. Great crew. Always willing to provide recommendations and thoughts on the beers. My 6 year old loves coming here and getting free Brawley's stickers.

Recently moved back to Charlotte from Baltimore with an increased interest in the craft beer scene. The guys at Brawley's have fueled that interest and always have some time to talk beer and make recommendations. They'll even ask my opinion if I'm grabbing something they haven't had before. I stop in a couple of times a week to satisfy my craving for trying new brews and haven't run out of options yet.

stopped by for the first time yesterday since I work just down the road and it was pay day. For the size of the shop there is so much good stuff and a lot of harder to find stuff. The owner was busy talking with some people that sounded like they could have been from Oskar Blues NC (bad ass) and someone dropping beer off but still said hi and was friendly. definitely a place you should check out if you in the area or are having trouble finding what you are looking for. I am incorporating this into my list of bottle shops for sure.

This is a must stop, for me anytime I am in Charlotte. I have been able to make it here a couple of times and always walk out with a great collection to add to my stash. Amazing customer service and knowledge of the beers available in the store. If you are visiting the area make sure to make this one of your stops.

I had an excellent first visit to Brawley's during my trip to Charlotte last weekend. I was in town to visit some family on my wife's side and heard Event Horizon was being released in Charlotte the day I was coming into town. They had a 6 bottle limit when I walked in, but after chatting with the owner and explaining I was in town from Atlanta and hoping to purchase more for friends and trading partners, he generously allowed me to purchase a double allotment. They even pulled out two years worth of Lindley Park from the back for me to scoop as well. Excellent customer service & solid selection will make this a must stop for me on my next trip through town. Thanks guys!

this was our first visit to Charlotte and were told to stop here first. So glad we did!! Awesome start to the weekend! Great people with a great selection! We got to meet the owner and he was a really cool guy to us out-of-towners, giving us pointers for good deals, special finds, and growth ideas for their store (a patio and taproom). Can't wait to come back and see how their tap room takes off!

Was in Charlotte for business and found this place by searching on the BA website. From the outside this is not an impressive looking place but the treasure definitely lies within. Very small but packed to the brim with hop and malty goodness. Michael Brawley is a very personable (and knowledgeable) fella and I felt like I knew him all my life as we talked beer. I picked up the local beer I was searching for (OMB Copper) and Michael made some suggestions of other local stuff, of which one was simply outstanding, Noda Hop Drop and Roll IPA! Great selection of bombers as well and while I was there Michael told me they were constructing a bar area to serve beer in the future. If you are ever in the Charlotte area pay this place a visit. Definitely a place I wish were closer to me!

I was in town for work & needed some beer for the week. From the outside it doesn't look like much but the inside is packed full of great beer.
This is my 2nd time here and both employees that I dealt with were not only helpful, but also very interested in talking beer. When they heard the beers I was looking for & ones I was looking at, they both made suggestions of local beers and other rarities they had that aren't available to me in MI

I read a lot of good things on BA about Brawley's so had to stop by during a recent trip to Charlotte. Definitely not disappointed! Shane behind the counter was very knowledgeable and is a fellow BA member. Talked to him for a good while and he gave me several solid recommendations for local beers I couldn't get in SC. I will definitely stop by any time I'm in Charlotte, highly recommended!
