I had this beer on-tap in a pint glass at the brewery.
Appearance: super dark brown and opaque with two fingers of creamy dark tan foam.
Smell: a little roasty and a bit astringent. Not too bad.
Taste: a little sweet, a little roasty and very balanced. Hints of chocolate and coffee. A good porter.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a big carbonation and great creaminess.
Overall: very well crafted; balanced and highly drinkable.

A - Pours a black-brown color with a thin covering of frothy khaki colored head. The head fades down fairly quickly leaving behind some decent lace.
S - Aroma is a mix of roasted and slightly burnt chocolate malt with a bit of coffee and some earthy hops/
T - Starts off with some sweet roasted chocolate malt with some lightly earthy hop. Through the middle some burnt malts come through with some more hops flavor and coffee. The finish is a mix of roasted coffee and chocolate malts with a bit of sweetness.
M - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a slightly dry and roasted finish.
D - Very drinkable. Nicely balanced porter with a good mix of chocolate and coffee flavors. Could use a touch more body,

On tap at Triple Rock. Pours a dark brown that looks like cola at the edges with a small light tan head that has good retention and leaves a decent amount of lacing on the glass. The aroma is roasted coffee, some light chocolate, some light caramel, and a bit of nuttiness. The initial taste as a light sweetness. This is followed by some roasted coffee and a bit of chocolate. The finish is some bitter coffee. Light bodied. Medium carbonation.

On-tap at Triple Rock
A: The pour is nearly black, at worst very dark brown, with a khaki head.
S: Lots of coffee notes to this one with plenty of roast to go along with it. A decent dark chocolate aroma along with some earthy hop aromas.
T: Like with the nose, there's a solid roast and coffee character. Plenty of bitter, dark chocolate and a solid earthy hop flavor. The beer is fairly bitter, but works nicely for a roasty porter like this.
M: The body is maybe a touch thin with a medium level of carbonation.
D: Another solid Triple Rock beer. I really enjoyed this porter and found it very easy to drink my glass.
