Picked this up at the brewery store.
Pitch black in color with large chunks of yeast sitting at the bottom. Quickly dissipating head leaving zero foam on top a minute after the pour except for a slight ring around the edge. No visible rising carbonation. Scent is on the subtle side but there's semisweet dark roasted malt, leather (the first time I've picked up on leather in a beer) and milk chocolate.
A significant cherry fruitiness accompanied with leather and mild dark roasted malt. A relative of stouts, but the distinctive fruitiness which sits above the stoutiness sets it apart. Very interesting and good. Very light carbonation, light to medium body, with the thinnest hair of dryness. Very nice, too bad it's probably a one time release.

Viscous black with a tower of cappuccino foam.
Sweet and roasty nose, with brown sugar and chocolate chip cookies.
Lots of chocolate chips up front, some black currants, a hit of roasty char, and earthy hop end.
Coffee candy finish and fizzy tight linger.
Med-full, very chewy, round.
Tag (no label!) said milk stout, and listed lactose as an ingredient.
Sweet but not cloying. Good lactose smoothness. Simple but effective.
