The Blonde pours a hazy yellow-gold body beneath a creamy head of white froth that drops shortly and leaves only minor streaks of lace about the glass.

The nose is sweetish like honey, and spicy, similar in many ways to that of a witbier.

It's smooth and creamy in the mouth with a dextrinous medium body and very fine bubbled moderate carbonation that gently caresses the tongue.

Although the flavor initially seems light on the palate, it tends to linger, and becomes fuller and more exciting with each sip. It's honey-ish, subtly fruity (orange), delicately spicy, and just mildly bitter. It's well-rounded and very drinkable; and it's alcohol never shows!

Very well done!

Actually thought it looked great pouring. Nice head, cloudy amber hue. Definitely punchier in the mouth than expected, full feel but a little dry afterwards. Full bodied but a little dizzy for my liking. I had one before a while back and this one didn't quite stand up to memory. Not bad at all, just so many more memorable blondes.

Kapittel's Blond is not their best, but it is OK IMHO. I just bought six Kapittel's to try some new ones and critique those I drank a few years back. But, Blondie is new. And it only is an OK table ale that I won't have again.

While Blond starts barely above average for Looks, Smells continue, fruity, but not distinct. Tastes are balanced, but equally undistinguished. In my mouth, I'd rather eat the leftovers than let Blond sit on my tongue.

Kapittel and Leroy is too hit or miss for me to get as excited about prospects as I did. As for Blondie, bye-bye.

A: Golden, hazy, medium sized rocky head which disappeared fairly quickly, didn't leave much lacing.

S: Bretanomyces, starch and phenols.

T: Sour orange, lingering tangyness.

M: Medium to heavy body, moderate carbonation.

O: More sour than the normal Belgian style blonde, not complex but enjoyable.

Solid golden color with a thick white head of eternal retention and apparent carbonation.
Aroma with notes of oranges, cream, faint white grape and pineapple core.
Flavor with notes of earth, oranges, sugar, mild booze, lots of white grapes and faint green apples. Dry aftertaste with a decent bitterness.
Light to medium body that feels much heavier given the excessive bothering carbonation. Alcohol of 6.5% seems higher.
This felt like a Blond walking towards a Tripel. On the positive side this is less sugary than other Belgian Blonde Ales that puts too much candied sugar and it has some nice orangey like notes. But it has a very strong effervescent carbonation that really bothers and it is somewhat one-dimensional.

Pours a cloudy golden color with a big top of white head that dissolves slowly and leaves some sticky lacings on the glass.
Aroma is of oranges, lemon, bread, yeast and spices. The taste is dry and fruity at the start with citric notes and some slight sourness there as well. It then goes to more spicy notes before it finishes of with some hoppy and grassy bitterness. A little watery in the flavour and aftertaste. Mouthfeel is smooth and soft with a light body and lively carbonation.
Is s decent and easy drinking enough blonde ale, but nothing very exciting about it.

Het Kapittel Blond
Belgian Pale Ale – 6.5% - 330ml Bottle – Best Before 17.05.2018

Appearance: Oranges coloured beer, just a shade lighter than lucozade with a soapy looking white head. Some very big bubbles rising quickly to the surface and a lot of very fine streams of tiny bubbles.

Aroma: Belgian yeasty esters, clove, bubble gum and malt. Smells fresh with some bready notes also present.

Taste: Get the bubble gum flavour up front, a hint of orange, then some malt and then it turns quite quickly to a bitter finish.

Mouthfeel: Would have liked the beer to have a little more body. Quite dry in the finish.

Overall: Not bad, has a lovely aroma of freshly baked bread that you get every time the glass is raised, but is unfortunately let down by the lack of body and depth.
