Absolutely gorgeous beer. A stunning pale orange color with streaming jets of carbonation building up a massive frothy snow cap of a head. Really beautiful. Leaves a very nice lacing on the glass as well. Crystal clear even after a trip from the store threatened to stir up the yeast.
Nice nose. Not as intense as I expected but still quite pungent. Nice fresh sharp herbal hops...very pleasant...noble hops I imagine...maybe Styrian though? Don't think its Saaz. I think Hallertaur or Spalt or something along those lines. Also get some nice candi sweetness and maybe just a hint of Belgian yeast character...just a touch fruity.
Really wonderful flavor. Really really fantastic. Incredibly thirst quenching. Very nice citrusy floral herbaly hops in the front. Very intense flavors but not super bitter. Definately a more subdued citral character than American hops may impart. Kind of a hard bitterness lingers in the finish under your tongue. Not perfect but its a nice feature of this beer. Very nice light candi flavors too with just a hint of belgian fruityness in the mid palette. .
Very nice light body. Very light and this is emphasized by the fairly heavy carbonation. But makes for a very refreshing beer.
I could drink this all night and I think after I bought the case BLIND today at the beer yard, I'm not going to be shy about hitting several of these up tomorrow on Xmas eve!!
