Goregeous pale yellow, slight haze. Nice pillowy head that sticks around and decent lacing.
Big Sasion-y nose, similar to a Brooklyn Sirachi Ace
More Saison. Lemongrass, bubble gum, light but punchy hop.
Wouldn't consider this in the IPA trademark, but overall a great Belgian Pale/Saison.
*you really get the hoppy IPA-ness in the backend of the swallow, it's coming to me now*
Quite a fantastic beer, and cheap(8$ for 750mL) for being so highly rated by the bros.

Picked this up a few weeks back at Top Hops in New York, having never tried this before. I was expecting this to be a "benchmark" beer that would serve as an example as to what other Belgian IPA's should aspire to and for the most part this fit that bill. The flavor was a little too complex for me but the drinkability was there and I was also hard-pressed to remember when something this light in hue had a pour that was this memorable!
The pour to this was astounding as the fluffy head, dark golden hue, cloudy appearance, and bubbles on the *side* of my pint glass all combined for an extremely pleasing first impression. The lacing was up to snuff as well, as lots of soapy layers made themselves felt once I worked my way through this. Not a strong aroma to this beer but there was some yeast and apple to be found in the nose. Both of those were present in the taste, along with the grassy hops, pear, candied sugar and booze underneath everything else.

What a completely unique beer. The hop character includes herbal, flowery notes unlike anything I've ever tried, and the Belgian yeast imparts a subtle spice character. Initially odd and off-putting, this beer really grew on me.
Smells a lot like it tastes - unique, spicy, and herbal
Beer was a little foamy when poured from the bottle, suggesting some issues with the bottle conditioning, but the mouthfeel was not negatively affected.
