Thoroughly enjoyed from the big bottle in a snifter. This fine golden ale pours a bright golden color with a fantastic frothy tight beaded head of bubbles that lingers quite awhile till finally settling into a 1/2 thick layer with NICE lacing. Nose of bittering and floral hops, sweet Belgian candy malts, and earthy yeast. Flavors follow the nose exquisitely sweet malts to the front and sides, with a mild bittering and leafy floral hop note. Flavors of lightly tart orange and peach blends in nicely with an earthy hop character that is exception. Smooth and creamy mouth feel with a lightly dry finish and sweet yet tart hop aftertaste. VERY NICE.

Cheers!

From BeerAdvocate Magazine #75 (April 2013):

A classic and one of the hoppiest beers to come out of Belgium. There is a huge sense of terroir from the hops, such a unique character. Both Belgian beer lovers and hopheads flock to this beer, and so should you.

Colour is golden with a little bit of orange. Nice floral aroma. Taste is a bit sweet (honey?) that evolves into a nice bitterness (floral, perhaps a bit of orange too). Very nice, refreshing beer.

250ml bottle from Beers of Europe (£1.99):
Another very nice Belgian offering here, this one was quite bitter but as I suspected not quite as bitter as some of the American style beers I've reviewed on here. There was a lot of spice and background fruits to this one that balanced the beer out well and the tart flavours started strong but settled down was the beer had time to open up a little. Overall a decent beer and one well worth picking up.
