The aggregation of tiny bubbles faded quite quickly on a pretty bland yellow color body. The smell is pleasing and sweet. Very fresh and witibier-like with fruity esters. Also quite floral aromas of liquorice. Light buttery notes, almost but not quite soapy. The taste is surprising after the fresh bouquet of aromas. Dry and kinda salty at first. Notes of liquorice and anise. Still fresh, sweet and fruity. Some litchi maybe. Also a dry citrus feeling, with a hoppiness that’s not overpronounced but that stays in the mouth. Mouthfeel is enjoyable, soft with a nice level of carbonation. Not overly enjoyable, heavy.

Surprisingly soft beer. The light one of the beers I really like: Tripel Karmeliet, Saxo, Corsendonk. The lacking of hops makes it a bit too light though

L: golden look, clear, great top with fine bubbles;
S: tropical fruit, geen tea;
T: in line with the smell but thinner;
M: bit overcarbonated, hops lacking, but clear mouthfeel;
O: nice, but a but too thin for me.

Brown 33cl bottle, best before? Not sure, so drank both the bottles I had, this review is a combination of those beers.

Poured into a Corsendonk tulip glass it has a small white head that soon sinks down into a scummy looking wisp. The body of the beer is an orange cloudy, light amber colour, not very appetizing really.

The aroma was of sweet and sour fruits, pineapple and citrus together, with the sweeter smells winning the battle.

Fruit juice with a kick, strange mix of flavours, couldn't pick a true taste comparison, not unpleasant though.

Fairly thin in the mouth, plenty of life but something missing in action.

Didn't really know what to make of this beer, I enjoyed the first one more than the second, which is unusual for me, as i said earlier, something missing for me.

A bright clear beer with a golden yellow color and a receiding head.

Smell of fruits, pears mainly with some solvent and higher alcohols. Pretty aromatic, which appears to me as 'over the top Belgian' yeast smells. Meaning high fermentation temperatures. Or could it be the flax?

Taste is fruity with the alcohol very much upfront, to be specific higher alcohols/ solventy components which should be banned from beers IMO. The yeast is typical Belgian and produces a range of exotic fruits, pineapple, lychee and pears. The flax (vlas) is not a taste I ever had, so I cannot determine if it is in here, but I get a hint of 'oiliness' that tastes like barley or rye flakes. It does not add much to the complexity I think.

One of these is enough. Next morning I had a huge headache.

Shorty:
Good foam made by tons of carbonation and nice clear orange yellow body. Smell typical for popperinge hops and Belgium yeast. Taste builds up to a butterscotch boozy sweet center that stays forever and then gives way to a metallic bitter aftertaste. Not pleasant. Feel is really oily with not enough carbonation to dilute it. Tastes way stronger than it is and not in a pleasant way. I can't imagine who drinks that in a region where you have world class beers. Well, I guess it is cheap...

Pale , almost watery, golden beer is slightly hazy. A huge, creamy, white head sits on top leaving strands of lace as it fades. Yeasty notes of flowers and bubble gum in the aroma. The taste is fairly dry at firsts and sweetens up midway through with bits of vanilla, bubble gum, and lemon grass. It dries out again in the finish with a mix of rock candy and alcohol. The mouthfeel is light and crisp; especially for a beer that isn't bitter. Not bad, but not great. There is a sugaryness to the flavors that becomes overpowering half way through the bottle and this sweetness washes out the other flavors.

BBE 07-06. Some white head and golden beer with some haze. Nose is very much koreander, sour orange and some maltyness that's litle sweet&whee though. Taste is fine maltyness and clean fermented with aftertaste that's bitter and bit metallic. The flax is not really that present and comes more like whear to me but certainly different twist in maltyness. Overall quiet well balanced and plesant and smooth mouthfeel except metallic part. Enjoyable brew and something else as the regular but still quiet easy drinkable.

This is a good beer! I bought this beer months ago when i was in Belgium. Not sure where i bought it, could be at the Bierloods in Adegem.

Pouerd in my Struise glass the beer gets a good start. Colour a bit like darker tea with a three finger head. Nice carbonation, not very much but sufficient.

Korinander comes in the nose. Taste is a bit sweet as i like my beers. Some caramel.

Beer bottle (33 cl.) purchased from Bières & Chopes, and tasted in 2012.

Appearance : orange color with white foamy head.
Smell : moderate yeasty and light malty aromas.
Taste and mouthfeel : lightly grainy (flax) and malty flavours.
Drinkability : a good beer in the style Belgian Pale Ale.

Hazy dark orange appearance, with an average foam, not particularly compact.
Good flowery note, white in the nose. Tropical fruit, orange peel, coriander. Pink grape fruit.
Fruity in the taste, too, with peach, tropical fruit again, green tea. The sweetness is quite boring at the end, and that reduces the drinkability.
Medium-medium.light body.
Fruity and sweetness in the aftertaste, too, with some spicy and peppery notes in the background.
As already said, in the end it is too sweet.

This smelled sweet and floral, but the mouthfeel was thin with a pronounced absence of hops. The aftertaste was similarly thin, except for a light minerally coating in the mouth, like iron. This got worse from smelling it to drinking it. It's best quality is it's aroma, and it goes downhill from there.
