A typical Bevmo except it's one of the smallest ones I've seen. It looks like it has a very similar selection to the other ones on the South Bay, even with it's reduced size. I didn't notice anything that they carried that others in the area did not. It looks like they had just received a shipment of Stone since they had a lot in stock. They even had Stone Pale Ale which I had yet to see in the South Bay. All in all, a decent option, especially for the South Bay where it's Bevmo or bust when looking for a decent beer store.

What you see is what you get. They have a great selection of beer (and whisky, but thats another story). Very clean atmosphere and probably the biggest I have ever been to. A good array of selection, nicely organized, even by country, which is helpful when I'm looking for a German hefe or a Belgian Lambic, I dont need to scurry around the place. As far as rarity, its not somewhere I would go for a whale, but they did have a few Abyss. But if I need a quick case of Lagunitas Sucks or a six pack of Allagash White, this is the place to go.

My wife and I stopped off here while our car was being serviced nearby. Odd location as it is connected to a car dealership.
We were greeted as we walked in and asked if we needed anything.
We were looking for brews not carried at the Camden location and
the first thing we noticed is they have a much smaller selection than Camden. They did have a few bombers of Stone and an OK selection of local beers-but they do not have the depth of selection as Camden.
We didn't check out the cold selection so I can't say if they have a better cold selection than Camden-but I doubt if they do.
All in all we were not all that impressed with our visit-did not find brews not available at the Camden location-however, we didn't notice any other good beer store on Steven's Creek Blvd-so if we were unable to make it to Camden we would not be disappointed shopping here.
UPDATE 1/10/09 This store moved down the street and the beer faces the sun because of a massive window-not good

This is my main Bev Mo. Not necessarily because it is the best, but it is the closest to home. One poster said that it is an odd location because it is next to a dealership. The Porsche dealership went in long after the bev mo. It is a medium size to small bev mo, with the same great selection that almost all of the bev mo's have. Staff is helpful if you approach them to ask a question they are more than willing to find the answer out for you, but may not approach you. Beer is in the back of the store unlike other bev mos where it is up front with the beer baking in the window.

The store is medium sized for a bevmo, having a nice selection of beers sorted by country of origin. Selection here seems to be good for a chain store and I haven't noticed nearly as many bottles sitting around a long time here as at other locations. They seem to move through their beer inventory faster than the areas other bevmos. The employees aren't extremely knowledgable about the beers they carry but they have always greeted me and been eager to help with anything I needed as well as provide useful and accurate insight into distribution and what times more of a certain beer will be available. Like other Bevmos prices are good, especially if you go in with an open mind and pick up some of their discounted brew (which isnt as old as its counterparts at other bevmos).

I've been living the car-free lifestyle for some two and a half years, so this place is about my only option as far as finding some of the geekier beers...and I kick myself every time I go back, because I've bought so many stale and lifeless beers here. I rarely see anyone browsing the beer selection, so the rate at which the product turns over has to be quite low.
For example, I dropped in yesterday and discovered that the six-packs of HopDevil were 4 months past the best-by date, and the six-packs of Prima Pils were 8 months past. Not that I really needed a wakeup call, but experiences like this have taught me to be vigilant about buying only the freshest beer, not just here but everywhere.
Having said that, the beer selection is reasonably good, which is why I'm always tempted to buy things here that I know I shouldn't. It's like many huge multitaps I've been to (Sunset Grill in the Boston area is a good example) that offer a wide selection of beers but can't commit to always serving them in the best condition.
The service here also isn't the best...I've never been asked if I needed help finding anything, and I usually have to plead with the cashiers to use bags with handles so that I can easily carry them on foot. I know that I shouldn't expect preferential treatment when other customers are dropping big money on expensive wines, but I have been a somewhat regular customer over the past 2 years.
I have no problem buying wine and spirits here, but I'll try and resist the urge to buy beer without a best-by date in the future.
