UPDATED: Selection is better than grocery/depanneurs but still pales in comparison to Rahman or any other place. Not a wide variety and the place is a little mismanaged and unclean. I'm boosting the selection score a bit but still stand by my original stance that there is really no reason to make a detour here.
ORIGINAL REVIEW MARCH 2007: I tend to agree with sammy, i was disappointed with the selection & service was not that great. it's barely a notch over a couche-tard or the like. if you've been to rahman or joannette, don't bother coming here. one thing postive i can say is they have a huge shelve with numerous beer bottles (most of them NOT available here!) I think it's to show travels of owner maybe? I meant to ask where they got these beers, because i am looking for a few of them & they are not available in Canada. But i think the cashier would not know. Alas!

Being an out-of-towner, it took me a while to find the place. Laurier is a one way street, and of course, I started at the wrong end, which entailed a lot of driving. Anyway, I was there on 30 June 07. Parking was tight, but I managed to find a spot close to the door. I was really impressed with the selection, and bought about 36 different singles. They don't have the prices marked, or use a bar code system. They rang up the sale by sorting the beers into their appropriate price ranges from memory. I had no way of verifying the prices. Being the trusting soul that I am, I accepted their total. Is there a law that says prices must be marked?
The service was good. They even helped carry my stash to the car.
I will go back for more on my next trip to Mtl.

Not worth the trip when you have Rahman's down the strret near Dieu Du Ciel. Pales to Metro Joanette. No service, no English, high prices. Poor part of town, don't go here at night. Few beers. Vietnamese owner? refused to speak even clear French and I speak some French. Other worker in torn t-shirt. No air conditioning in store made it stifling shopping experience.
Selection so-so even for QUebec store. Nothing special here. No service given or offered. Nothing unusual. All prices turned out to be the highest of all four stores I visited on this trip.
