Lot notch on this bottle is halfway between D and E, whatever that means.
Is there a better way to celebrate Zwanze Day 2011 than going home and drinking more sours? I think not!
A: pours golden and slightly cloudy with orange hues. Thin white head sits on the surface, leaving beady lace behind.
S: sour fruit, yeast, some spices too. Smells really dry, if that makes sense. Wreaks of awesome.
T: an explosion of sour fruit right as the liquid meets your tongue. Wild yeast adds its own funk in a perfectly balanced manner. Crisp and clean; finishes dry as expected.
M: unexpectedly creamy and medium-bodied, which is pretty heavy for the style, and it's exactly what I've been wanting from a sour. Fizzy, active carbonation stings the tongue pleasantly.
D: give me more. More, I say! A fantastic brew start to finish, and my favorite sour to date. <3 Hanssens!
