Served at 9C, in a small glass. Half a bottle - split with a friend.

Beautifully red-gold, when backlit. Floating particles of yeast.

Characteristic ale smell - acid and dust.

Initially sour and fruity, with a strong yeast flavor following. A touch of sweetness. Some roasted nut flavors in the aftertaste, centered towards the top of the mouth, along with a slight bitterness.

Absolutely lovely mouthfeel - smooth, with a good light carbonation on it.

330mL bottle

I never mention bitterness in my reviews, my bitterness taste buds are ridiculously under-
sensitive.

APPEARANCE : Hazy straw-yellow with a small head despite the apparent high carbonation. The head doesn't stick around too long either. Still has a nice look.

SMELL : First nose is cereals and light pale malt with some typical Belgian yeasty elements. Second nose shows some spices and light fruits, herbs and some hay (most likely from the hops). Third nose emphasizes the grain side and the pale malts with some pears.

TASTE : Bit boozy, but nothing off-putting - it actually serves this brew quite well. Very frank malts and spices and this typical Belgian yeasty side that was on the nose really shines in the mouth. Great stuff. Let's taste again to be sure... oh yeah.

TEXTURE : Typical Belgian ale carbonation, nice thickness to it, feels like it still has a pretty high gravity for a beer with 8,5% alcohol content. Nice roundness.

OVERALL : Dupont always manage to come up with amazing stuff, and this is no exception. I've got a whole case of it and it's not going to last me half as long as I'd like it to. The warm boozy side is going to be great, this winter.
