On tap at the Winking Lizard. Hazy straw colored beer with one finger of white head in a goblet. Looks nice, cloudy, and full of taste!
Smell is nice, really nice! Belgian yeasty esters, lemon, corriander. Surprisingly little if any funkyness. This sure isn't like the New Years Dupont.
Initially sweet taste. Candy sugar, clove and corriander, sweet grain - fruity at first and finishes dry. A touch of band-aid funk in the finish. Really good saison, but I like the funked up versions better.
Mouthfeel is good, but carb is high. That seems to enhance the dry finish's feel.
Great beer, could use a bit more funk, but this was good. Glad to have sampled.
Serving type: on-tap
