Golden straw colored and hazy with a pillowy-soft, tall head that lasts forever. Aroma is very peppery at first, with yeast coming in afterwards. There's a fair amount of musty cellar aroma, after which a green apple note develops. Fortunately, there's no skunk at all, which is always a concern with a green bottle.

Dry through and through. Simple and straightforward - pilsner malt, old world hops, and soft, vigorous carbonation blending to create a very refreshing beer. The yeast adds some nice complexity by imparting some earthiness. Slight acidity. Vigorously carbonated with minimal harshness.

Very straightforward and refreshing while still being interestingly complex, Saison DuPont is a must try if you have even the slightest interest in Belgian-style ales.

THIS is what beer should always taste like. Smooth, flavorful, but always crisp and refreshing at the finish. Very strong, fruity and citrus flavors up front, mixed with a heavy wheat body. The finish is pure summer hefeweizen. The Belgium people know beer like no other. I am in awe of this simple, yet powerful, brew.
