Before this, I've only had experience with Ommegang's Hennepin, and a local Saison.

A - Appearance seems very light with an almost unfiltered or either highly carbonated look to it

S - I never understood the term "farmhouse ale" until I gave this a whiff. WOW, You can really get a whiff of funky leather and what one in a rural area like mine would consider a farmhouse-y like scent!

T - Very, very light on the tongue, I wouldn't say overly carbonated, but it's very very bubbly on the tongue. Lots of funk lingers on the tongue after tasting, I can't quite put where the other tastes are coming from, but it's very light and very refreshing.

M - Incredibly light and bubbly, very refreshing

O - The best Saison I've tasted so far, I'm just upset that a style that's so gorgeous is so difficult to find varieties of in Pennsylvania!

Part of b-day bash of saisons.
Very different than the Am. versions also sampled. Subtler and also more thirst quenching.
Soft overall aroma. Less sweet. Some fruit and a stronger pale malt base.
Huge full white head. Very pale body. Thick head and lots of lacing.
More malt forward with a moderately paced dryness that grows to quite prominent and seems to come directly from the strong tartness. Closest to a lemon taste.
Full and effervescent and yet smooth.
More subtle, but also rather complex. Really a good thirst quencher.

T - Bannana, light wheat, subtle lemon, wild grass and flowers.

D - Good carbonation with a light body.

O - Soft and light saison with some nice floral tones.

I feel like reviewing such a huge beer as Saison Dupont is a little bit worthless because everyone and their grandmother has reviewed this beer.

It should be noted, that I drank this beer from a brown bottle, not a green.

Appearance: Light, golden straw color and a huuuge, light and foamy head. IF you give it a bout 5 hours, the head will slowly start to whittle down.

Aroma: Very interesting; earthy, grass notes, tart, and the slightest bit of funk, pale malt that smells a little of straw.

Taste: Even more interesting. The ester is the main champion in this beer, followed by earthy, grassy components. Finishes very smoothly and leaves a nice, crisp taste.

Overall: A wonderful saison. Definitely deserves all the praise that it has received. If you are new to saisons and looking for one to try, let it be this one.

A- Cloudy peach-colored body with a thick and frothy off-white head. Enough transparency to see carbonation bubbles in the body coming up from the bottom.

S- Fruity and peppery aromas come through n a big way. I get pear, some citrus, a hint of banana, spicy/peppery yeast. Also a hint of an earthy aroma.

T- Lots of sweet fruity flavors at the beginning and then at the end. The middle has the earthy yeasty flavors with the slightest hint of funk.

M- Medium-high carbonation with a medium body. The finish is very dry, but has the crisp fruitiness at the same time.

O- This is a great saison. Almost has a flavor profile similar to some tripels, but has big flavor and is quenching.

Enjoyed this 12oz bottle out of a large snifter glass.

A: Pours an extremely cloudy yellow-orange hue with a thick, frothy, white head that slowly dissipates down the side of the glass leaving a solid lace.

S: Fruity aroma – lots of lemon with an orange zest.

T: Spicy yeast flavor with some fruity notes that finishes on the dry side.

M: Medium body and medium carbonation.

O: Really good saison brew.
