Overall a simple beer. It seems more like a basic Belgian rather than a saison. This beer lacks the complexities that most people expect when drinking a saison, and is a bit over carbonated. If you like saisons or you have never had one and want a good example of one, this beer is not for you. If you've never had a saison and want something accessible, then this beer is a good choice.

Would I consider buying again: No

Cloudy straw gold appearance with a huge pearl white head. Biscuit and must lead the nose with leafy hops, hay, belgian yeast and spices, and white pepper. Taste builds on everything from the nose, adding lemon juice, flowers, and orange zest. Feel is bright, slightly bready, crisp, light, and smooth.

Pours a golden orange color, slightly cloudy, carbonation is visible. The head is frothy and well retaining.

The nose opens cleanly, however, there are soon notes of fruity esters. Sweet fruity aromas evoke pithy citrus fruit, peach, melon, pear and a hint of pineapple. Earthy notes of musty grass and peppery spices.

The palate opens very dry with muted fruit flavors interplaying with rustic, spicy, grassy and peppery notes. Notes of peach, pear, melon, peppercorn, coriander and clove amidst a malt backbone that is crackery and dry, with subtle touches of honey. Complex overall, including tart lemony notes and touches of alcohol spice.

Medium bodied with lively carbonation. The finish is dry, bitter and with a touch of alcohol spice and a grassy burn.

Nice example of Saison that hits all the right notes of the style.

I love saisons, the setting was perfect (a warm Spring evening with friends in the back yard), and my palate was perfectly prepared. Uncorked the bomber and poured about 1/3 of it in a large tulip. Beautiful honey with nice head and lacing. A riot of fruit flavors and aromas made me think it was going to be sweet, but it stayed more to dry side. Subtle spices, mainly clove. Perhaps, slightly more effervescent than the average beer, tickling the tongue. I don't know the age of this bottle, but the cork had 2.015 on it. It was given to me by my son, purchased in NW Arkansas (what a great gift). If it is from 2015, then it aged superbly. I savored every drop of the bottle. My rating seems to be better than most, maybe I opened it at exactly the right time.

I highly recommend this for saison lovers.

11.2 oz brown bottle

Foret has a [light] cloudy body. An easy pour produced a 1 1/2-finger white rocky head that held well. Limited lacing was produced. The nose is of light fruits; apples, pears, and a mild sweetness. The taste is very similar to the nose with upfront fruity notes followed by a sweetness and light spiciness. At the finish very light hops are noted. Foret is light-medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation.

Foret is easy drinking and referishing..

Golden color with a litlle foam that dissapates in a few minutes. Beautiful color and flavors are wonderful for this great Saison.
