250ml bottle, poured into a wide fat snifter
Pours with a cloudy light amber body, a few orange and tangerine highlights. Thick puffy slightly yellowed head with great retention. Patchy lacing all the way down the glass and little yeast formations in the head
Smell, creamy perfume soaked fresh fruit. Mango and peach along with a hint of banana. Lots of aromatic sweet esters coming off, a hint of almonds and a little faint aroma of nutmeg. A whiff of almost petrol like aroma, distant biscuity malt also. The finish on the nose is aromatic once again, creamy coconut and sweet vanilla ice cream
Taste, spicy peppery mouthfeel, thick slightly bitter fruit. A wallop of dry malty alcoholic fresh fruit surrounded by strong spice and a lasting sharp pepper astringency. A slight hint of funk in there along with an acidic undertone of lemon and lime. Almonds and marzipan flavours seem to come through nearer the finish, along with a lasting dry yeasty alcoholic finish.
An interesting and tasty blond ale from Moinette. Spicy and peppery with a huge fresh fruit character on the nose. I'd say this would be a great beer with food

750ml bottle into a Chimay goblet. From yesterday.
A: Pours a hazy gold color. The head is two fingers high and white in shade. I'm incredibly amazed by how creamy and well retaining its texture is, and also by how much lacing it leaves behind. There are also a noticeable amount of yeast particles near the bottom of the glass.
S: Aye, it's a bit skunky. Thankfully it doesn't obscure the other notes. I'm also getting noble hops, candied sugar, and spice. Shame about the skunk, but it doesn't fully ruin the nose.
T: MUCH better. It starts with a fantastic fruit notes - citrus, pineapple, peach, you name it. Spiciness enters the finish, bringing almost a sesame seed character. I'm also getting herbal and black pepper touches. It's just deep enough, yet still fantastically effortless and unique - and at the end of the day, that's what a saison should be.
M: I like how creamy, soft, and full it is. Yet, it's still bone dry, with medium carbonation. I love how it's both rich feeling AND refreshing all at the same time.
O: Oh yeah, this is the shit. The skunky nose isn't so offputting as to ruin this, and every other aspect is at least excellent. It's so drinkable, yet so rich and so flavorful. I need more of this in my life.
