11.2oz bottle at the Winking Lizard.
Looks great. A nice orangeish brown beer with a huge head of fluffy foam.
Smells of yeasty esters and slight malt. Yeast gives the impression of banana, green apple, clove. Earthy hops and some spices as well. Smells like it's going to be sweet. Really nice nose on this one, but lacking the complexities of other saisons I would rate a 5.
Taste is good. Nice mild brett gives just enough depth and is wild without being sweaty horseblanket hair over the top funk. Yeast gives some great flavors - coriander and clove, green apple and lemon, and some great earthyness that holds this down. Hops are present and grassy. Malt is light and slightly bready.
Mouthfeel is good. Nice carb and sufficient body for the style.
Overall, this is a good saison, but Dupont does better and this is more of a nice gateway. It's a real saison, not some filtered chick beer from a macro masquerading as a saison. But it's not the best out there. The regular Dupont and the Avec are much better. Drink but do not seek.

750ml bottle into a Chimay goblet. From yesterday.
A: Pours a hazy gold color. The head is two fingers high and white in shade. I'm incredibly amazed by how creamy and well retaining its texture is, and also by how much lacing it leaves behind. There are also a noticeable amount of yeast particles near the bottom of the glass.
S: Aye, it's a bit skunky. Thankfully it doesn't obscure the other notes. I'm also getting noble hops, candied sugar, and spice. Shame about the skunk, but it doesn't fully ruin the nose.
T: MUCH better. It starts with a fantastic fruit notes - citrus, pineapple, peach, you name it. Spiciness enters the finish, bringing almost a sesame seed character. I'm also getting herbal and black pepper touches. It's just deep enough, yet still fantastically effortless and unique - and at the end of the day, that's what a saison should be.
M: I like how creamy, soft, and full it is. Yet, it's still bone dry, with medium carbonation. I love how it's both rich feeling AND refreshing all at the same time.
O: Oh yeah, this is the shit. The skunky nose isn't so offputting as to ruin this, and every other aspect is at least excellent. It's so drinkable, yet so rich and so flavorful. I need more of this in my life.
