Poured a cloudy orangish gold with a yeasty, funky, spicy bitter floral hop elements along with tropical fruits. Smooth beer thanks to yeast and well-carbonated so it is crisp and light and the hop bitterness is evident on the end. Tropical fruit like flavor sweetness sticks around in the beer as well as some funky sour notes for a well-balanced and crafted beer.

Unfortunately I can’t speak to the effect of the dry-hopping as I have not had the original Saison Dupont and this bottle has aged a bit so the hops may have faded. The bottle opened with a celebratory Pop that was and exciting start. The beer is un-filtered and bottle conditioned so I was delicate with the initial pour so as not to have a glass overflowing with foam. The beer poured a hazy golden straw color with a significant effervescent white head. The aroma was bright and fruity with notes of pear and cherries over the Belgian yeast and cloves although I didn’t detect much from the hops. The initial taste was heavy on the Belgian yeast and spices with a bit of funk that faded into a dry and fruity finish. The pear, apple and hint of cherries were well hidden underneath the typical saison flavors and really accentuated the beer. The bottle conditioning gave the Saison Dupont a vibrant mouthfeel that let the brew finish bright and dry. This was a standout Saison.

this ale pours well with a bunch of carbonation so easy on the pour guys and girls. Best served in a tulip glass to allow the bouquet of hop aroma stand out.

A- Hazy almost like a hefewiezen with a very low clarity, Straw gold in color so an srm reading of under 5. A creamy long last bright whitehead that last a good while. the foam is so puffy you cant help it but grab a spoon and eat the dam thing lol. great lacing left along the sides after every sip.

S- WIth the help of Yeoman and Target hops this saison has great bouquet of citrusy lemon zesty, and a delightful grassy and earthy spices like coriander and curacao peel(spicer than orange peel and more astringic ,puckery). THe yeast also produces the overall esters and sour notes( Belgium strain).

T- Thanks to the Belgium yeast you get great sour note that is well balance by the hop bittering finish. esters and earthy herbal, grainlike zesty lemon with a sour and spicey taste. very refreshing saison. Acceptbale sour note well balanced by hop bitterness and spice.

M- Well carbonated yeast is similar to a champagne yeast but less bubbles and more puffy like whip cream over sweet potato pie. Medium bodyed flavor and texture with a crispy dry hoppy finish that is acceptable for even your everyday pilsner enthusiast.

O- Slight mouth drying sour well balanced by the high alpha acids of the all putpose and bittering use of hops (yeoman bittering, Targets all purpose) the ibus are low but presentable.

pww- I would pair this guy with the same foods you would pair an expensive sauvingnon blanc. great with light bodied seafood dishes and salads and suhi and a classis german sausage like a wiesswurt

thanks guys for reading and now go get one and cheers my friends and if you like this style I would recommend a less sour ale like a hefewiesen which leans towards banana and clove aromas and flavors.
