Pours a jet black drink that stays dark even when held to the light. It creates a medium sized tan head that thins out but retains well over time.
Smell has an okay balance. There is a smell of chocolate and oak which I like, but it is taken over by a strong smokey smell.
Taste is above average. There is okay chocolate and oak tastes, but like the smell, they are overtaken by smokiness soon.
Mouthfeel is a little thin for a chocolate stout. There is a bit of a graininess as well.
Drinkability is okay. Taste is nice, but not very good either way. I probably would not turn this beer down, but I would never go out of my way to get one of these.
