I'm getting very little chocolate from this chocolate stout. Not sure why they call it a stout either, but it's a solid brew. I would just call it Fort Collins Porter if it were my brewery.
Pours deep brown, almost black, with a little white head and not much lacing.
Aroma is appealing, roasty malts and maybe the slightest hint of chocolate or coffee if you looked for it.
Taste was completely lacking of any chocolate, but it was still yummy. Roasty malty goodness with a little caramel sweetness.
Mouthfeel was a little thin for the style but still good.
Drinkability was high. It went down smooth with a pleasing taste and aroma and I could easily down 3 or 4 in one sitting.
