Pretty good stuff. Deep black color, with a fainter tan color surrounding the center. Not quite as thick of a body as I tend to like out of chocolate stouts, but the flavor is all there. Great aroma, pretty much chocolate throughout. It's good enough that it makes me want to check out some of Fort Collins other brews.
Overall, there are stouts out there that prefer over this one, but it's still excellent. Like I said before, I would prefer a thicker body, a bit creamier, but that's just me. Worth checking out.

Neat label but otherwise a pretty straightforward, unexceptional stout. It did not bring the chocolate notes forward that I expected given the name. In fact, it seemed to be just a plain, normal, slightly watery-in-the-finish American stout. No harm done, but not as exciting as a lot of stouts. Dark, dark color, decent head, nose not outstanding, just typical stout malt & hops. The same for the flavor, with some of the more complex and bitter notes in some stouts not present here. Drank 26 July 2016.

Aroma: coffee, chocolate, brown sugar, toasted malt.Appearance: dark black, creamy off white head. Taste. Malty. Coffee. Ash. Acid late.Feel. Thin, porter like. Medium carbonation .My kind of beer, but far from the best of that kind.

Rating lowered. Aroma is nice, but Taste falls flat.
Very blah for a chocolate stout.
