Picked up with a pick your own six pack. Poured from bottle into a pint glass. Pours inky black with little head. Notes of roasted malt with little in way of chocolate. A good American stout but not one that I would seek out, there are a lot of other stouts out there that I like better.

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a pint glass.

Pours dark brown to black, translucent in the light with a reddish brown hue. Light to moderate head, about 1/2" thick, of light brown 'sea foam' bubble consistency. Very light lacing.

Aromas are a complex mix of malts with coffee and chocolate notes foremost on the nose and some earthy notes beyond. Quite pleasant.

The initial rush is definitely a malty chocolate flood over the tongue but not as heavy as you might think for a stout. I wouldn't call this on thin but it isn't as chewy as I like 'em. The texture is relatively creamy with a very light and well tamed carbonation. As you roll it around with your tongue, you can really appreciate the malty multitudes. The finish is rather quick but there is a nice long linger of bitter chocolate that clings to the back of the throat before clearing. Beauty.

I found this brew to be very enjoyable and rather drinkable. There is a multitude of richness in the flavor profile without going overboard. It's still relatively balanced but leans toward the sweet by just a bit. Hops clearly seem to be there but do not play an incredibly noticeable part in the taste. Definitely worth checking out and I would have it again anytime.

Pours black with deep red highlights. It has a fluffy brown head that retains well and leaves some lacing.

Its aroma is roasted chocolate and cream.

The flavor is chocolate - kind of sweet, yet roasted and kind of chalky. There is a little raisiney fruitiness and some smokiness (almost like cigarettes). It is pretty dry and has a light bitter finish. Medium bodied, a little watery.

Overall, a pretty good chocolate stout.

12 ouncer w/o freshnes information. Pours dark and stoutlike, with just a thin dark tan head and leaving just a scant hint of lacing, above a thin tiny bubble film. Dusty dark chocolate nose, dark malts and more dark chocolate up front. Respectable stout, quite dry in the finish, with some lingering chocolate sweetness. Not bad, worth a try for stout/dark beer lovers

Appearance:1/4 inch head, black in color

Smell: burnt malt, and dark chocolate

Taste: dark chocolate and burnt malt. It follows the nose but the flavor is not as strong.

Mouthfeel: dry, medium body, bittersweet, smooth, no carbonation

Drinkability: A very average chocolate stout in every way. You can taste the chocolate and malt, but is far from complex. Nothing jumps out unlike other chocolate stouts I have had before. I will not be looking for this again.

Thanks to swalden28 for sharing this bottle.

This is my first beer from this brewery. The beer pours a dark brown color with red highlights and a white head. The aroma is pretty basic with chocolate and toffee. The flavor is chocolate with a lot of earthy hops. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

12oz brown bottle sevred into a nonic glass.

Opaque, black with brownish highlights. 1" creamy tan head dissapated quickly into a thin coat of foam.

Clean roasty aroma with dusty chocolate. Earthy/mineral with subtle nutty carmelled notes.

Clean taste becoming lightly roasty with bittersweet chocolate.Woody, earthy with good balance has an easy pleasing bitterness.

Light to medium bodied,a touch of grainyness. Very smooth,pleasing/enjoyable has a very good aftertaste, makes me want another. Not a great stout, but not a bad one either. worth a try.

Deep mahogany colored with a light brown foamy head that settles out quickly. Low aroma of cocoa and roasted malts.

Flavorf is initially sweet milk chocolate, but quickly gives way to smokiness, some coffee and raisin, hints of molasses, rich dark malt. Finishes with a sharp but clean burnt espresso flavor, and piney hop bitters emerge at the end of the finish and linger. Pretty complex, good mix and balance of flavors, not just over the top chocolate.

Moderate carbonation, fairly even mouthfeel, finishes a bit dry. Very drinkable beer.

This American Stout is a pleasant treat. It pours a semi-dark color from the bottle. The head is foamy and tan in color. The smell is of roasted malts, with perhaps a hint of chocolate aroma. The taste is simple yet flavorful. As with the smell, there is a somewhat roasted chocolate sweetness upfront with slight bittering for balance. A nice dry finish. For an American stout, and a break from the higher A.B.V .stouts out there, this is certainly worthy of giving a go taste. Enjoy!!!

A - nice mocha colored head left a bit of lacing, deep rich brown color

S - couldn't detect much, a bit of chocolate or coffee maybe

T - better than the smell, can taste the roasted chocolate and a bit of caramel but still not all that strong

M - very drinkable, maybe a bit thin but the amount of carbonation is spot on

Overall a bit underwhelming on the flavor but the drinkability of this beer really makes up for it.

Poured dark brown, almost black into a pint glass. Tan head which receeds quickly.

Aroma of roasted malts, almost like coffee.

Creamy mouthfeel, roasted malts really stand out in taste.

I would drink this again but not more than one in a setting. Worth trying but don't expect something great.
