Traded for this a while ago, even though I have no idea when as there wasn't a date or any other markings on the bottom of the can. Hadn't had a beer from Fort Collins in quite a long time but this was one of the bigger surprises that I've reviewed on here as of late. Sure, American IPA's are a dime a dozen but when they're this balanced and easy to drink, who's to notice?
This had a good pour to this as the liquid was a dark brass with a nice brightness to it with a fine haze to the liquid. Plenty of head topped this off as it took a while to settle and there was quite a bit of spongy lacing left behind as the bubbles were more easily discernible than the actual rings. Tropical fruits, copper hops, and some weed in the nose as the taste was just as heavy and slick, to boot. Lots of weed and dank, bitter chocolate came through as this warmed up as it felt like something out of Green Flash or Humboldt out of California...
Not a lot of booze here but this had just enough heft to it for me to consider it as an IPA. A slight bit of caramel lingered once this went down as this had a hint of sweetness and stickiness that tied everything in together. Not a bad beer but not the first American IPA that I'd reach for either...

Pours an attractive opaque orange-amber color with a rather fleeting wispy head. Both the smell and taste are very citrus with some pine. Very little malt flavor noted. The carbonation level is excellent and the mouthfeel extremely smooth. Overall a very fine IPA that I would drink again if offered.

Handsome golden amber color with modest white foam in the chalice. Sudsy mouthfeel and a light body. Inviting aroma of citrus and pineapple.
Starts with a light malt flavor, some honey, and a little sweetness. Flavors of tangerine, pineapple, and grapefruit. Very bitter aftertaste with an astringency that lingers. From the 12 oz can in the mixed Colorado 12-pack.

12 oz. Can
Pours a nice yellow color, nice carbonation, with a pretty nice small off-white head, which leaves some sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with some citrus. The taste is hoppy, malty, citrusy. Medium body, with a nice dry/bitter finish. Overall, a pretty tasty brew.

Would be better classified as a pale ale, but pale ales are better tasting anyways

Aroma is citrus, tea and bready malts. The flavor is citrus, fruit, bready malts, slightly thick/honey texture/palate and a tart/mildly spicy finish.
