Poured into a pint glass. The appearance has a bright orange, terra cotta, straw yellow hue with a white 2 finger head that leaves a nice lacing throughout the drink. I get hops, pine, some sweet toasted malts, caramel/toffee hint, and some small spice in the nose, some citrus I think.

This brew has medium body, and right up front I get a really balanced, hop and pineapple/grapefuit, pine, malts, grain, grass, bread; which is followed by a very well balanced sweet toasted malt and toffee ending. I love this aftertaste, get that mellow toffee and sweetness from the malts, and I still have a good bitterness from the hops. Alcohol is nowhere to be found. This isn't as hopbombish as say Hopslam or even crooked tree, less of that hoppy, grassy freshness, and a more elegently balanced take on an American IPA. AGAIN, wondferfully balanced brew. Well done. Could drink this all night!!!!

Would be interested to see if they do a double/imperial take on this IPA, I bet it'd be really good!

Cheers!

T: caramel malt forward with a spiciness to it; long finish, minimally bitter with a little spiciness, some pine and the caramel malt;

M: medium bodied; prickly carbonation; dry finish;

O: tasty, but maltier than I expect from an IPA

A: Pumpkin orange, pretty hazy, 1'' head
S: Very herbaceous, notes of citrus, burnt pizza crust
T: Aloe, floral, grainy wheat bread
M: Solid, pleasant, coats your tongue in a good way
O: Wasn't blown away at first but halfway through I'm really appreciating its balanced flavor. I'm definitely tasting the hops but it's fresh and drinkable rather than overly bitter.

Poured from 12 oz bottle into schooner glass.

Appearance: a 1" bubbly off white head dies awake quickly with some moderate lacing. Color is a quite hazy orange-copper with a bit of sediment in suspension.

Aroma: sweet orange, grapefruit, and nice malty backbone.

Mouthfeel: medium bodied, frothy, and quite sticky with a fairly dry finish.

Flavor: Sweet orange, grapefruit dominate with some caramel and whole wheat bread flavor. There is a strong lingering grapefruit/citrus rind bitterness in the finish.

Overall: very good ipa.
