Served in my Sam Adams perfect pint glass
A-completely opaque, no hints of any other colors, about ¾ of inch tan head.
S-Very cocoa chocolate like with hints of burnt roasted malt
T- Not a huge chocolate bomb. Burnt, charred character is upfront...probably from a good portion of black patent malt. Some roasted malt create a slight coffee taste. Cocoa comes through middle to end and there is lingering taste of roasted chocolate malt.
As the beer warms to room temp and the more you drink the cocoa and chocolate really take over and the roasted malt or slight coffee flavor come through at the end.
M- smooth, semi-creamy feel, not as creamy as I like stouts to be.
D- decent stout, I enjoyed it at the beginning but chocolate becomes annoying as the beer warms. Wish it was a lil more complex to notice subtle flavors at every sip.
